Predictions: 2007 01 21

Ok, First time I am doing this. Any feedback or comments are most welcome!

I have been reading about many things the past few days and I see an expansion of the War on Terror. How soon? Not sure. If the Israelis gain more influence, soon. If the Muslims have their way it will never happen. Also, the Democrats are on the side of the terrorists on this. But Iran is going to be added soon. Very soon!

I think that what is going to happen is a limited strike on Iran. That is the real reason for the Surge. We will find out soon if that is the case.

UPDATE:
I was looking for a link about the Iranian nuclear plant to link to for this prediction. Found the link I posted here and then went to the Main page on GlobalSecurity.org. I have not been there since my computer crashed last summer and ate my bookmarks. Right on the front page they have a countdown timer and link to a story that says the same thing! Interesting! I am glad that my read and that of the Experts is the same. It is kind of obvious if you think about it.

WHY I JOINED

Why I Joined:

This question has been asked of me so many times in so many different contexts that I thought it would be best if I wrote my reasons for joining the Army on my page for all to see. First, the more accurate question is why I volunteered to go to Iraq. After all, I joined the Army a week after we declared war on Saddam's government with the intention of going to Iraq. Now, after years of training and preparation, I am finally here.

Much has changed in the last three years. The criminal Ba'ath regime has been replaced by an insurgency fueled by Iraq's neighbors who hope to partition Iraq for their own ends. This is coupled with the ever present transnational militant Islamist movement which has seized upon Iraq as the greatest way to kill Americans, along with anyone else they happen to be standing near. What was once a paralyzed state of fear is now the staging ground for one of the largest transformations of power and ideology the Middle East has experienced since the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. Thanks to Iran, Syria, and other enlightened local actors, this transformation will be plagued by interregional hatred and genocide. And I am now in the center of this.

Is this why I joined?

Yes. Much has been said about America's intentions in overthrowing Saddam Hussein and seeking to establish a new state based upon political representation and individual rights. Many have framed the paradigm through which they view the conflict around one-word explanations such as "oil" or "terrorism," favoring the one which best serves their political persuasion. I did the same thing, and anyone who knew me before I joined knows that I am quite aware and at times sympathetic to the arguments against the war in Iraq. If you think the only way a person could bring themselves to volunteer for this war is through sheer desperation or blind obedience then consider me the exception (though there are countless like me).

I joined the fight because it occurred to me that many modern day "humanists" who claim to possess a genuine concern for human beings throughout the world are in fact quite content to allow their fellow "global citizens" to suffer under the most hideous state apparatuses and conditions. Their excuses used to be my excuses. When asked why we shouldn't confront the Ba'ath party, the Taliban or the various other tyrannies throughout this world, my answers would allude to vague notions of cultural tolerance (forcing women to wear a veil and stay indoors is such a quaint cultural tradition), the sanctity of national sovereignty (how eager we internationalists are to throw up borders to defend dictatorships!) or even a creeping suspicion of America's intentions. When all else failed, I would retreat to my fragile moral ecosystem that years of living in peace and liberty had provided me. I would write off war because civilian casualties were guaranteed, or temporary alliances with illiberal forces would be made, or tank fuel was toxic for the environment. My fellow "humanists" and I would relish contently in our self righteous declaration of opposition against all military campaigns against dictatorships, congratulating one another for refusing to taint that aforementioned fragile moral ecosystem that many still cradle with all the revolutionary tenacity of the members of Rage Against the Machine and Greenday. Others would point to America's historical support of Saddam Hussein, sighting it as hypocritical that we would now vilify him as a thug and a tyrant. Upon explaining that we did so to ward off the fiercely Islamist Iran, which was correctly identified as the greater threat at the time, eyes are rolled and hypocrisy is declared. Forgetting that America sided with Stalin to defeat Hitler, who was promptly confronted once the Nazis were destroyed, America's initial engagement with Saddam and other regional actors is identified as the ultimate argument against America's moral crusade.

And maybe it is. Maybe the reality of politics makes all political action inherently crude and immoral. Or maybe it is these adventures in philosophical masturbation that prevent people from ever taking any kind of effective action against men like Saddam Hussein. One thing is for certain, as disagreeable or as confusing as my decision to enter the fray may be, consider what peace vigils against genocide have accomplished lately. Consider that there are 19 year old soldiers from the Midwest who have never touched a college campus or a protest who have done more to uphold the universal legitimacy of representative government and individual rights by placing themselves between Iraqi voting lines and homicidal religious fanatics. Often times it is less about how clean your actions are and more about how pure your intentions are.

So that is why I joined. In the time it took for you to read this explanation, innocent people your age have suffered under the crushing misery of tyranny. Every tool of philosophical advancement and communication that we use to develop our opinions about this war are denied to countless human beings on this planet, many of whom live under the regimes that have, in my opinion, been legitimately targeted for destruction. Some have allowed their resentment of the President to stir silent applause for setbacks in Iraq. Others have ironically decried the war because it has tied up our forces and prevented them from confronting criminal regimes in Sudan, Uganda, and elsewhere.

I simply decided that the time for candid discussions of the oppressed was over, and I joined.

In digesting this posting, please remember that America's commitment to overthrow Saddam Hussein and his sons existed before the current administration and would exist into our future children's lives had we not acted. Please remember that the problems that plague Iraq today were set in motion centuries ago and were up until now held back by the most cruel of cages. Don't forget that human beings have a responsibility to one another and that Americans will always have a responsibility to the oppressed. Don't overlook the obvious reasons to disagree with the war but don't cheapen the moral aspects either. Assisting a formerly oppressed population in converting their torn society into a plural, democratic one is dangerous and difficult business, especially when being attacked and sabotaged from literally every direction. So if you have anything to say to me at the end of this reading, let it at least include "Good Luck"

Format Change

It has been pointed out to me that my comments about the news are not that different than many others say. However, I am good at predictions. I have been looking for a way to make this work on here. I think I am just going to make my comments still and on Sundays make a prediction about the trends I read in the news and blogs.

What kind of things am I predicting? Well, it could be that Brittney will get stoned and flash her female parts around town, but that is too easy. I could predict that a Palestinian will kill himself and/or others while praising Allah. I should predict simple things like this! But any moron can do the same.

I have a knack for reading things and finding the key phrase or point. I can read a bunch of things and make a generalization. A few generalizations and I have a prediction. Give me a little time for research and I can usually make them true ones.

I am not going to worry about silly pop sluts or druggies. As noted in the title of this blog, I read and discuss security issues. Some basics that I have discussed with friends for the coming year include a military strike on Iranian nuclear facilities, unless the Democrats have more power than I think they do. I think that Egypt will have a minor revolution by Islamists and during the crackdown become even more totalitarian than it already is. I think that Osama will be found dead in a cave. Not a mark on his old sick body. Unless the goat molesters from the local tribes find him first.

That is enough for today. Tomorrow I will make better predictions. With links to articles that back up my individual points.

Statistics on Terrorism prove war is NOT about US

GatewayPundit has a story he found at SoccerDad about the statistics in the War on Terror from The Religion of Peace.


He has added up the numbers and made a nice chart that shows that, even with all the attacks in Iraq and Afghanistan, the majority of attacks by Muslims take place outside of the areas the US is involved in. This is in interesting view. I highly recommend checking it out. Print it off! Post it up! Think about it the next time someone tells you this is a problem because of the US or Israel.

Over at LGF is a post about this. I am not shocked as much as disgusted at others shock. This is what the experts have been saying for a long time.

Even worse is that they have a follow up from other sources in the UK.

I thought that it was going to be France that fell to Islam first. I might be wrong. I hope I am completely wrong and that no European country falls to the Islamic onslaught. There are so many small changes that muslims are making the Europeans to accept that it is only a short while longer until something has to snap. I am willing to make a bet that France breaks this year. Germany is up in the air. Britian is starting to look like a safe bet for 2007 also. I wonder how long the fighting in France will last?

Everyone knows what the answer is to the Islamic advances. No one wants to face it. It is not a kind answer. It is not a Politically Correct answer. Anyone who does speak the answer outloud is slurred as a racist and extremeist. If you are not sure what I am talking about feel free to post a comment. I will respond.

Barney Frank accuses US Government of Ethnic Cleansing

This is just stupid! Barney Frank, whose voice is a bit muffled in this video, is accusing President Bush of Ethnic Cleansing in New Orleans in an attempt to make the area safe for white Republicans. I guess that we should ignore all the black liberals, liberals of all shades, who run that area? How many billions have been poured into the city and vanished? Why is it that the liberals still run the city and constantly get into trouble? How is it that it is Bush's fault that the Democratic party, which has enslaved that city and state and race, is wasting billions of dollars instead of getting to the rebuilding?

The Big Problem that I see in the rebuilding is the horrible burden in paperwork and fees that people have reported. If the city of New Orleans is to return to its former glory, the pencil necked bureaucrats have to get out of the way! They need to allow hard working Americans to build buildings and open businesses. Will this bring back the slums and ghettos? NO! Yet that seems to be what the Democrats are trying to bring back. Too bad for the Democrats that the people who return are gangs and workers. And the gangs are chasing out the workers. This is NOT the American Dream. And is no way can the locals, and Barney Frank, honestly blame this on President Bush.

You are scum Senator Frank. Quit in disgrace. Now. This is supposed to be the most ethical congress ever. You disgust me. Here is the video. You decide.

Imam who encourages rape embarassed to return to home

This is just too funny. The same Islamist who claimed that women deserve to get raped is now afraid because his neighbors keep watching him suspiciously. HAHAHAHA. Just read the article. I can't do it justice because I am laughing at the fool too hard.

Since when is it bad for the Islamists to lose?

The news that the Somali Islamist thugs have been tossed out seems great to me and most people. So WHY are some people, besides the Islamists themselves, upset?

I think this is a sickness. All those who think America are evil are pointing out the peacefulness of the the Somalis under the rule of the Islamist Courts. Sure they were! All the guys of military age were drafted at gun point. When the US and UN went in last time, they did not crack down at all. It was still allowable to shoot at the civilians while the US and UN troops stood by. That was such a dispicable act that I still think the head of the UN effort and the Commander-in-Chief of the US forces at the time should be indicted as criminals. If the forces had gone in and smashed the bad guys and disarmed them it would have cost a few more lives, but the job would have been done quicker. Spending lives is not a good thing! But losing fifty guys to get the job done in a month is better than losing five guys a month for a decade. It is this slow approach that is losing lives right now.

The Democrats love to tell the President how he is running this the wrong way. They love to point out that this war has been going on longer than the Second World War. Well, now they have their chance to give advice besides limits. Since they love to compare this War to WWII, should the Coalistion Forces start using WWII tactics to get this over quicker? What Would Patton Do? This is what the Ethiopians have done is Somalia. Not very often since the Islamists quickly retreated and vanished.

There are many ways to wage a war. Bush and his generals chose to take a slower method that would limit the collateral damage. Is this the best way? I can not say. I do think that it is better than destroying a village that the insurgents were hiding in, which is the old way.

It takes a little while to make the locals like us and to teach them new ways to get along. Old animosities do not vanish overnight. Just look at the US Congress! The Republicans and Democrats are great at pulling up stuff from the past. Especially the current leadership. Half of whom, it seems, are under investigation for crimes. I do not think that the Democrats would stop hating Bush even at gun point. They would just whine more.

So, how can they ask the Shia to stop hating the Sunni in Iraq in just a couple of years? Is this reasonable? Especially while the enemy is still trying to regain power? I do not think so. I do think that it takes a little time to resolve differences. Disarm the enemy and cut off his supply lines. That is how to end the war is Somalia and in Iraq. It is happening too. Despite the media and the Democrats.

Democrats admit they were not paying attention to the war

I was laughing at the assertions of Sen Reid while I was reading this!

``There will be the eyes of the American people on everything the president does in Iraq, for a change,'' Reid told reporters today.

Does he really think anyone is going to believe that the Democrats have been ignoreing the war? Who is getting all the headlines? Is it Republicans going out to the media to praise the war? NO! It is the same liberals who have protested against any show of American strength for the past thirty plus years! The some spineless weasels who think that America is the source of all evil, while they read Marx, Mao and Mein Kampf. I know the basis for the Brady Bill was, even if most have forgotten that it is copied from the Nazi gun laws.

The reason that we are winning is because of the traitors who denigrate our efforts at every turn and praise the works of the terrorists. No wonder the enemy have good morale even though the life expectancy of a terrorist in Iraq is measured in weeks. The ones who make it longer get sent home to recruit and use US lawmakers as proof of the victories. It makes me so mad I could just walk up to the nearest Democrat and smack him! Then tell him it is a Patriotic thing and they would not understand.

Off to laugh at another jerk.

Israel is readying nukes for Iran

Why do leaks happen so often lately? The leaking of this plan can only endanger the Israeli pilots. Unless it is just a show of force to bring Iran back to the table.

If Iran gets nukes they have promised to remove Israel from the map. Who does that effect? The Palestinians are a big group! Many of them will die in the blasts. Not that the Arab world will shed any tears for them. Egypt and Jordan will be shaken, neither of which are Shia Muslim and are potential enemies of Iran. Iraq will possibly get fallout. If the bombs are small enough they will not spread the contamination too far. The whole Middle East is at risk because of this one stupid act by a rouge nation.

If Israel uses nuclear bunker busters, who is effected? Just Iran. The could will travel less and the contaminants are contained in the soil. Mainly. There will be a lot of junk, but some of that will be from Iran's buried weapons. That extra could make things interesting for the locals and the physicists. I hope that these plans do not have to come to fruition and that Iran backs down before it is too late.

I am shocked by this story and think more people need to get Congress fired up to fix this situation! I say that the area gets turned into a live fire zone so that our troops can practice on the druggies before they go overseas. Let's see what some real combat troops can do for the situation!

Catching up from the holidays

I am sick of all the news I have been catching up on. Some idiots are actually comparing Saddam's 'presidency' to President Ford's. As if Saddam was NOT elected at gunpoint. The guns, of course, being pointed at the people doing the voting. I do not think President Ford was a great President, but he did handle his short term amazingly well. He did many great things in the small time he was in office and handled them all well. I am, overall, proud of him. Rest in peace.

Saddam, on the other hand was a brutal thug who saw the people he ruled over as playthings to be used as he wished. When his toys would get out of hand he would immediately 'correct' them with violence and/or sexual abuse and/or death. If he has not been the counter to Iranian power in the region he would have been deposed decades earlier. Too bad for his people. Praise the Lord that they are now free. If we can help them maintain that freedom.

One thing that I rarely would comment upon, but seems to have gotten under my skin, is the post on MM's blog about Carmen Climaco. Yet again the worthless mainstream media is proven to have no respect for the truth! Does this surprise me? NO! I only read the newspaper out of curiosity, not to look for truth. I now automatically assume that about half of what is written is false. Is this accurate? Probably not. But it is good enough. I have seen articles written and then gone to other sources, for instance, eye witnesses, and found discrepancies in the articles that could easily change the conclusions drawn by the writer. Reporter is not the title given to this kind of fantasy. I think the fact that the NYT refuses to change the story to include the official death certificate and coroner reports is the telling issue. They are no longer interested in the truth. I almost want to sign back up for the Times just so I can quit again in outrage.

Then there is the swearing in of the 'most ethical' congressional leadership of all times. How many of these leaders have been investigated by the Ethics Committee and then slapped on the wrist? Almost all? How many are being investigated by the FBI or other law enforcement agency? This is the kind of crud that almost makes me join with the enemy, and for once I am not talking about the Democrats! I hope and pray that someone will put out a wonderful chart listing ALL of the investigations against these bums. Put it next to a chart of ALL the crud against the Republicans. I am really interested! Might do it myself IF I find the time.

Another stupid organization this past couple of weeks is CAIR. Why are these guys just not all deported? Many of their leaders have already either been deported or jailed. Even the Democrats acknowledge that CAIR supports the terrorists and the ascendancy of Islam over the world. If Sen Durbin, a man who willingly supports anyone who espouses the death of the President and the Republicans, can see through the charade that CAIR attempts to show the world, then anyone who can not see this connection is mentally incompetent to live without medical supervision. As I have often suspected of the semi-Honorable Dick Durbin.

On Clarity and Resolve I read about a bunch of remarkably stupid kids at a high school in Virginia who are dressing up as Arabs and praying with the Koran five times a day so that they will "understand" . Understand what? Living in a Virginia suburb does not make one an expert on why Islam wants to dominate the world. It will provide no insight into the reason Muslims are to willing to blow themselves up on command. It will only provide these remarkably unintelligent kids with a superficial experience to allow them to set themselves up above the rest of us who have not tried to be so "understanding". I am just wondering if they will learn how real Muslims live? Will they go to the Sudan, Saudi Arabia, or Palestine to learn that all the fun gadgets they consider as essential in American life are condemned by Islam? I sincerely doubt it! What a waste of a below average public education. Not that I really expect much more in the modern world.

Well, enough for tonight. I have more to read so that I can be properly jazzed for more blogging in the morning. Time to listen to Stuck Mojo before I pass out.

UPDATE: 8Jan07: It seems that the NYT has actually posted a correction to the Carmen Climaco Story. I am impressed. Maybe they have a new editor?

UPDATE: CAIR is really upset because this video is targeting all Muslims. It is? Or is showing what Islam is about? All Muslims? Or just the ones who teach children to hate and kill. Would CAIR like to explain away the parts where children talk about murder and are praised for it? I did not think so.

9/11 claim is found baseless

I can hear the cries of "corruption" from the Truthers already! I don't even care. When the whole world is a plot by the elites it does not make much difference anymore what the plot is. As long as I get my health benefits and a paycheck what is wrong up there? So what if the elites have a plot to control the world. Maybe it will lead to world peace.

So, 9/11 was really not a CIA plot. The dotted lines are being closed off. The Truthers are turning out to be nuts. Well, not that there was much doubt before.

About time some of these stupid waste of dollars investigations started to conclude.
