Reading the Qur’an: Abrogation

This is a key aspect of Islam that most non-Muslims do not understand. This lack of understanding is what makes so many people believe the Islamists when they claim to be the Religion of Peace.

Power Line Forum | Reading the Qur’an: Abrogation: "The Qur’an consists of a series of verses (after the first verse) ordered not by subject or chronologically but by length. However, Muslim religious scholars view the Qur’an as consisting of verses from two distinct periods; the early period when Muhammad lived in Mecca and the latter period after Muhammad and his followers fled to Medina (the Hejira).

The more peaceful and inclusive Meccan verses are from the initial years of Muhammad’s prophetic career when he had few followers and was trying to get the Pagans, Christians and Jews living in Mecca to accept his legitimacy as the ultimate prophet of the one true God, Allah and to accept the authority of the verses in the Qur’an as superior to and superseding the Torah and Judaism, the Bible and Christianity and Pagan beliefs. Muhammad was able to gather some few followers in his time in Mecca but, the illiterate Muhammad was not accepted, was disdained by the locals and had conflicts with them so, he and his followers eventually fled to Medina (the Hejira).

The much more violent and xenophobic Medinan verses are from the latter period when Muhammad’s started to use violence against his opponents, his military power grew and he could use that power and violence to force his opponents to accept him as a prophet and the Qur’an as supreme. "

Women and Christians cannot be president

The Religion of Peace and Bigotry.

AKI - Adnkronos international Egypt: Women and Christians cannot be president, say Muslim Brotherhood: "The Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt's strongest opposition group, has said that women and Christians cannot become president in Egypt. 'Women and Christians are not allowed to have access to the position of president of the republic,' said a representative of the Muslim Brotherhood in a report carried by local newspaper, al-Masri al-Yom. The highly influential Islamist movement, banned in several Arab countries such as Syria, Jordan and even Egypt, expressed this view as part of a draft of a new political programme revealed on Wednesday. Women and Coptic issues have been impediments to the group's party platform being accepted by Egyptians as a whole. Scholars and intellectuals have asked the group to modify its views on this matter, but this latest statement shows that the group has refused to change its previous stance, which is based on an Islamic fatwa or edict."

Jailed Terrorist: "I Want My Walkman" - November 6, 2007

HAHAHAHA! You are lucky to be alive you murderous pig. Oink oink. Yes, you!

Jailed Terrorist: "I Want My Walkman" - November 6, 2007: "An al-Qaeda operative serving life in prison for his role in the bombing of American embassies in Africa contends that his rights are being violated by U.S. jailers who have denied him access to Arabic publications and religious books, limited his mail privileges, and no longer allow him to use a Walkman. Mohamed Al-Owhali, 32, claims that his incarceration at the 'supermax' federal prison in Florence, Colorado has left him so severely depressed that he stopped eating for months, forcing Bureau of Prisons officials to feed him via a tube placed through his nose."

Jihad has failed, former Libyan Islamist tells al-Qaeda

Good to see that some of the radicals aren't as crazy as others are.

AKI - Adnkronos international Terrorism: Jihad has failed, former Libyan Islamist tells al-Qaeda: "Jihad has failed, former Libyan Islamist tells al-Qaeda Tripoli, 7 Nov. (AKI) - A former leader of an armed Islamic group in Libya, Numan Bin Uthman, has written a letter to al-Qaeda second in command Ayman al-Zawahiri telling him that Jihadi groups in Arab countries have failed. 'Dear Doctor Ayman, as I told you during a meeting in Kandahar [in Afghanistan] in 2000, the experience of the Jihadi groups in Arab countries is failed and despite our appeals, the armed groups are divided and will not unite,' he said in the letter, a copy of which was published in the London based pan-Arab daily al-Hayat. The letter by Uthman, who is based in London, comes after an audio message by al-Zawahiri - an Egyptian medic - was released on Saturday. In it, al-Zawahiri announced that the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, had joined al-Qaeda. He also called for the ousting of regimes in North Africa. The Libyan Islamic Fighting Group first announced itself in 1995, vowing to topple the Libyan regime. It is the second organisation to allegedly join al-Qaeda after Algeria's Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC), which changed its name to the al-Qaeda Organisation in the Islamic Maghreb last January. 'I ask you and whoever is behind you to"

Palestinians in East Jerusalem Say: Please Don’t ‘Liberate’ Us

The Pally's are finally starting to admit that their leaders only know death. They are incapable of running a terror cell (see all the suicidal punks in prison?) much less a territory!

Commentary » Blog Archive » Palestinians in East Jerusalem Say: Please Don’t ‘Liberate’ Us: "Those feeling skittish about the city’s potential partition aren’t just Israelis – who traditionally take the position that Jerusalem should be Israel’s united capital – but also Palestinian Jerusalemites, who fear that their standard of living will fall if they come under the control of the Palestinian Authority (PA). “I don’t want to have any part in the PA. I want the health insurance, the schools, all the things we get by living here,” says Ranya Mohammed as she does her afternoon shopping in Shuafat. “I’ll go and live in Israel before I’ll stay here and live under the PA, even if it means taking an Israeli passport,” says Mrs. Mohammed, whose husband earns a good living from doing business here. “I have seen their suffering in the PA. We have a lot of privileges I’m not ready to give up.” Nabil Gheet, a neighborhood leader who runs a gift and kitchenware outfit in the adjacent town of Ras Khamis, also resists coming under the PA’s control. “We have no faith in the Palestinian Authority. It has no credibility,” he says, as his afternoon customers trickle in and out. “I do not want to be ruled by Abbas"

The Amboy Times: The List of Things That Offend Muslims

This is a great list! I volunteered an item about Bluetooth being banned. What can YOU add?

The Amboy Times: The List of Things That Offend Muslims: "This list is a work in progress. I welcome suggestions. Anyone who has more items to add to the list, post them in the comments. The intent of the list is to illustrate the futility of the multicultural approach to Islam. Sharia law demands submission not only from Muslims, but from non-Muslims as well. This makes respectful coexistence nearly impossible with Muslims in Infidel lands. The examples below serve as reminder that submitting to one complaint or another only emboldens Muslims to seek to further their ultimate goal of establishing sharia. The West needs to come to grips with this fact and start standing up for our God-given rights of free speech, free expression and freedom of religion, lest we surrender those rights to a theocratic movement bent on removing our Constitutional freedoms that we hold dear. In this case, our tolerance will lead to intolerance."

Arab 'collusion' against Jews

Arab 'collusion' against Jews: "New research shows there was Arab inter-state 'collusion' to persecute Jews in Arab countries after Israel's creation, former federal justice minister Irwin Cotler and Jewish rights scholars will announce today in New York. While it is known up to 850,000 Jews left Arab countries after the post-war division of the Palestine mandate, the group is holding a news conference to highlight a rediscovered Arab League 'draft law' that suggests a pan-Arab conspiracy was at play."

Another Inconvenient Truth About the Global Warming Fraud

Another Inconvenient Truth About the Global Warming Fraud - Say Anything: "Here’s a series of four videos that once again debunk the whole entire global warming scam. My favorite part is in the first video the speaker shows how only by eliminating all but the most recent climate history can they propose a warming trend. He then shows how recent history has shown up over and over in the earth’s climate history. Strong stuff."

iowahawk: My Book to Help America

What a find! I want a copy of this book for every household in America. These are good advise for normal times, and excellent items during a war.

iowahawk: My Book to Help America: "A few months after Pearl Harbor a lesser known Munro Leaf title appeared: My Book To Help America. I happen to have have a copy in my oddball reading stash, which is presented below in its entirety. You may notice that that by 1942 Leaf was no longer an advocate of Ferdinand-style dreamy pacifism. I really don't have any further comment, other than noting that 1942 was certainly a very different time than 1936. Or 2007."

Casualties Continue Decline in Iraq

More good news from Iraq, so it is not heard about in the Media. I am glad that the President listened to his generals and stuck it out. One of the few things I like about him anymore.

Attrition: Casualties Continue Decline in Iraq: "American casualties (dead and wounded) in Iraq have been sharply declining since last May, when they hit 781 for the month. They were down to under three hundred last month. Casualties haven't been that low since 2004. There are many reasons for this decline. The main one is that al Qaeda and the Sunni Arab resistance has sharply declined. Al Qaeda is the most hated organization in Iraq, and most Iraqis will inform on these terrorists, especially the foreign ones. The Iraqi police are much more numerous, well equipped, and competent now, than in past years. That means Iraqi security forces can receive, and act on many of these tips. With about half the adult population of Iraq owning a cell phone, al Qaeda is having a hard time staying safe, and in action."
