Solomonia: Ben-Dror Yemini: The Hate Ship

Solomonia: Ben-Dror Yemini: The Hate Ship: "The Hamas regime in Gaza decided recently to show the world what it knows what to do. Not that we did not know, but the timing was important. Let's remember how it all began. During the violent and brutal [takeover] of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the Hamas hooligans forced their prisoners to lie down and massacred them. If someone raised his head they shot him again to make sure he was dead. Most of the leading television channels in the world did not screen these pictures. Wonder why. The sequel was in the same vein. Hamas turned out to be an exact copy of the Taliban. Women were forced, under threat, to wear the burka, more men are bearded. Christian institutions were attacked.

If there are still pockets of resistance, Hamas knows how to deal with them. The last wave of violence included gas treatment. Pipes were thrust into intimate parts of the body, and gas was pumped in through the pipes. Nine people were killed, some undoubtedly in cold blood. [Note: This refers to the recent fighting involving the Hilles Clan. The gas treatment was related by members of the clan and reported in the Hebrew press, but not elsewhere AFAIK. -S] It can be assumed that there were many more, but under the oppressive control of the Hamas, no one can know for sure. Massacre for its own sake -- for that is what Islamic extremism knows what to do. That is what happened in Algeria, where 100,000 people were slaughtered. That is what is happening in Darfur, where 400,000 people have already been killed. That is what is happening in Somalia, where the number of victims is unknown. That is what happened under the Taliban regime. Hamas is acting according to the same rules. That is what political Islam knows. That is what Hamas is doing."

Coast Guard Deems Teens Too Drunk to Be Rescued, Leaves Them on Cliff Ledge

This is mainly interesting since I used to live near here and some of my urine might still be found around. Well, it was probably all washed away over a decade ago...

Rescuing drunken prats in the middle of a storm is super dangerous. Leaving them to sober up meant a lot of hours of watching to make sure they did not fall into the drink, but sure made it easier to pick them up in the morning. Fools. Let them join Darwin.

FOXNews.com - Coast Guard Deems Teens Too Drunk to Be Rescued, Leaves Them on Cliff Ledge - International News | News of the World | Middle East News | Europe News: "British teenagers partying on the ledge of a cliff were left to sober up overnight after rescue crews decided they were too drunk to be rescued, The Daily Telegraph reported.

The teens called the Coast Guard when a friend suffered an epileptic fit near Long Quarry Point, outside Torquay, Devon. Rescuers were not able to airlift all eight boys and girls to safety, due to rainfall and rough terrain.

In the end it was decided to winch the ill teen off the cliff, and leave the rest, whom the Coast Guard described as “under the influence,” where they were.

'It was too dangerous to rescue the seven others because they were rather intoxicated and it would have been too hazardous to take them down to the lifeboat,” Coast Guard watch manager Zoe Boyne told The Telegraph. 'This incident has tied up many resources throughout the night. It has also highlighted the dangers of young people putting themselves at risk in locations where they lose control of their actions due to the effects of intoxicating substances.'"

Obama, Criminalizing Politics & Thinking The Unthinkable

The Wolf finds some facts about the Liberals and their communist tendencies. What a great job.

Wolf Howling: Obama, Criminalizing Politics & Thinking The Unthinkable: "Conservatives have for decades largely ceded the spheres of eductation and media to the far left. Today we see the bitter fruit of that situation.

There are many things deeply troubling about the far left in America. Their disdain for democracy and utter refusal to contenance dissenting speech are at the top of the list. But, now on the verge of actually taking control of the police power of the U.S. in the November elections, the far left are going beyond intolerance and into a realm of existential threat to America and democracy. It is the talk - from Obama through his potential advisors and numerous others - to criminalize policy differnces and dissent. This is a giant step beyond mere partisan politics in a competitive democracy."

Georgia says Russian tanks mean 'war' in South Ossetia

Georgia says Russian tanks mean 'war' in South Ossetia - Times Online: "Russia sent troops and dozens of tanks into the breakaway Georgian province of South Ossetia today, throwing the two former Soviet neighbours into a sudden yet undeclared state of war.

In the most serious regional crisis since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, at least 50 tanks – and possibly many more – rumbled through the Roki tunnel, which cuts through the Caucasus mountains separating South Ossetia from the Russian province of North Ossetia.

'One hundred and fifty Russian tanks, armoured personnel carriers and other vehicles have entered South Ossetia,” President Saakashvili of Georgia told reporters in Tbilisi. “This is a clear intrusion on another country’s territory. We have Russian tanks on our territory, jets on our territory in broad daylight.'

Mr Saakashvili added that Georgian forces had downed two Russian jet fighters over Georgian territory.

Georgia mobilised its reservists yesterday and launched a military offensive to regain control over South Ossetia, which broke away from Georgia after it gained independence."

http://www.debka.com/article.php?aid=1358
Georgian tanks and infantry, aided by Israeli military advisers, captured the capital of breakaway South Ossetia, Tskhinvali, early Friday, Aug. 8, bringing the Georgian-Russian conflict over the province to a military climax.

Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin threatened a “military response.”

Former Soviet Georgia called up its military reserves after Russian warplanes bombed its new positions in the renegade province.

In Moscow’s first response to the fall of Tskhinvali, president Dimitry Medvedev ordered the Russian army to prepare for a national emergency after calling the UN Security Council into emergency session early Friday.

Reinforcements were rushed to the Russian “peacekeeping force” present in the region to support the separatists.

Georgian tanks entered the capital after heavy overnight heavy aerial strikes, in which dozens of people were killed.

Lado Gurgenidze, Georgia's prime minister, said on Friday that Georgia will continue its military operation in South Ossetia until a "durable peace" is reached. "As soon as a durable peace takes hold we need to move forward with dialogue and peaceful negotiations."

DEBKAfile’s geopolitical experts note that on the surface level, the Russians are backing the separatists of S. Ossetia and neighboring Abkhazia as payback for the strengthening of American influence in tiny Georgia and its 4.5 million inhabitants. However, more immediately, the conflict has been sparked by the race for control over the pipelines carrying oil and gas out of the Caspian region.

The Russians may just bear with the pro-US Georgian president Mikhail Saakashvili’s ambition to bring his country into NATO. But they draw a heavy line against his plans and those of Western oil companies, including Israeli firms, to route the oil routes from Azerbaijan and the gas lines from Turkmenistan, which transit Georgia, through Turkey instead of hooking them up to Russian pipelines.

Saakashvili need only back away from this plan for Moscow to ditch the two provinces’ revolt against Tbilisi. As long as he sticks to his guns, South Ossetia and Abkhazia will wage separatist wars.

DEBKAfile discloses Israel’s interest in the conflict from its exclusive military sources:

Jerusalem owns a strong interest in Caspian oil and gas pipelines reach the Turkish terminal port of Ceyhan, rather than the Russian network. Intense negotiations are afoot between Israel Turkey, Georgia, Turkmenistan and Azarbaijan for pipelines to reach Turkey and thence to Israel’s oil terminal at Ashkelon and on to its Red Sea port of Eilat. From there, supertankers can carry the gas and oil to the Far East through the Indian Ocean.

Aware of Moscow’s sensitivity on the oil question, Israel offered Russia a stake in the project but was rejected.

Last year, the Georgian president commissioned from private Israeli security firms several hundred military advisers, estimated at up to 1,000, to train the Georgian armed forces in commando, air, sea, armored and artillery combat tactics. They also offer instruction on military intelligence and security for the central regime. Tbilisi also purchased weapons, intelligence and electronic warfare systems from Israel.

These advisers were undoubtedly deeply involved in the Georgian army’s preparations to conquer the South Ossetian capital Friday.

In recent weeks, Moscow has repeatedly demanded that Jerusalem halt its military assistance to Georgia, finally threatening a crisis in bilateral relations. Israel responded by saying that the only assistance rendered Tbilisi was “defensive.”

This has not gone down well in the Kremlin. Therefore, as the military crisis intensifies in South Ossetia, Moscow may be expected to punish Israel for its intervention.

War With Georgia
August 8, 2007: A week of fighting in Georgia (on Russians southern border in the Caucasus) was apparently a Georgian attempt to finally defeat ethnic separatists in the breakaway area of South Ossetia (population 50,000). Georgia announced that it had liberated the separatist area. Russia has not yet announced if it will go to war to support the, apparently, defeated South Ossetian separatists.

There is a second such area; Abkhazia (population 200,000). Georgia has a population of 4.6 million, and a hostile relationship (going back centuries) with Russia. In response to this bad attitude, Russia has backed the rebels of Abkhazia and South Ossetia (which are on the Russian border) since the early 1990s. Georgia was part of the Soviet Union (and Russia) for over two centuries. Georgians tolerated this for a long time as the only way to keep the Moslem Turks out of Christian Georgia. But with the end of the Cold War, this was no longer an issue and the Georgians wanted the Russians gone. The Russians considered the Georgians ungrateful and unreliable (for allowing Chechen rebels to hide out in neighboring Georgian mountains.)

The fighting in South Ossetia and Abkhazia had stopped over a decade ago, because Georgia could not muster sufficient military force to regain control of the two breakaway border areas. Then a UN brokered peace deal brought in several thousand Russian peacekeepers. About ten days ago, there were were reports of gunfire and mortar shells exploding in South Ossetia. In the last few days, Georgian Su-25 ground attack aircraft were seen hitting targets in South Ossetia. Artillery shells were reported to have hit a Russian peace keeper barracks. Russia announced that it was sending more peacekeeping troops to South Ossetia. Russian aircraft were reported to have bombed targets just inside Georgia. Russia was unable to get the UN to pass a resolution demanding that Georgia cease efforts to get back control of its territory.

Euro Falls the Most in 8 Years

Bloomberg.com: Worldwide: "The euro fell the most in almost eight years against the dollar as traders pared bets the European Central Bank will raise interest rates as the economy slows.

The euro is poised for its biggest weekly loss since January 2005 after ECB President Jean-Claude Trichet yesterday said economic growth will be ``particularly weak'' through the third quarter. An index that tracks the dollar against the currencies of six U.S. trading partners touched the highest since February. Crude oil fell to a three-month low.

``This is the beginning of a new chapter for the dollar as Trichet and other central banks are paying more attention to the downside risk to growth,'' said Dustin Reid, a senior currency strategist at ABN Amro Bank NV in Chicago. ``The decline of oil prices is a significant driver behind this dollar rally because it enables other central banks to turn their eyes away from inflation and focus on growth.''"

EGYPT: ANOTHER CONVERT TRIES TO CHANGE RELIGIOUS IDENTIFICATION

What a pity that Muslim countries can not accept any changes. They fear change. Allah can't take the competition that Christ can give. If he could handle competition then he would tolerate some. For example, God said that we can worship no other god before Him. This means he knew that competition exists and that He is better. Allah knows that the only way for him to win is to kill off all competitors. Literally.

Compass Direct News: "One year after the first attempt by an Egyptian Muslim convert to Christianity to change his religious identity, another convert this week became the second to make such a controversial legal request.

After 34 years of practicing Christianity, 56-year-old Maher Ahmad El-Mo’otahssem Bellah El-Gohary filed a case at the State Council Court on Monday (August 4) to replace the word “Muslim” on his identification card with “Christian.”

El-Gohary is the second person raised as a Muslim to make such an appeal to the Egyptian government after Muhammad Hegazy, who filed his case on Aug. 2, 2007. Hegazy’s case was denied in a Jan. 29 court ruling that declared it was against Islamic law for a Muslim to leave Islam.

“He can believe whatever he wants in his heart, but on paper he can’t convert,” the judge had told the administrative court, according to a member of Hegazy’s legal team.

The judge had based his decision on Article II of the Egyptian constitution, which enshrines Islamic law, or sharia, as the source of Egyptian law. The judge said that, according to sharia, Islam is the final and most complete religion and therefore Muslims already practice full freedom of religion and cannot return to an older belief (Christianity o"

While Diplomats Dither, Iran Builds Nukes - WSJ.com

I love John Bolton as most as much as I avoid Michael Bolton.

Drawing another line in the sand in front of the Iranian nukes is nothing. The majority of countries in the world understand that the US, and especially the UN and EU, will do nothing but draw another line. A few countries used to worry about what would happen, but the West and its power have saddly declined. They have no will to preserve the world or themselves. Only a few of us have the willpower to to believe in ourselves and fight against the forces of the barbarians at our gates.

Fight for our civilization and fight for our lives. I am not a Muslim and I am not a barbarian, but I will fight against both.

While Diplomats Dither, Iran Builds Nukes - WSJ.com: "This weekend, yet another 'deadline' passed for Iran to indicate it was seriously ready to discuss ending its pursuit of nuclear weapons. Like so many other deadlines during these five years of European-led negotiations, this one died quietly, with Brussels diplomats saying that no one seriously expected any real work on a Saturday.

The fact that the Europeans are right -- this latest deadline is not fundamentally big news -- is precisely the problem with their negotiations, and the Bush administration's acquiescence in that effort.

The rationality of continued Western negotiations with Iran depends critically on two assumptions: that Iran is far enough away from having deliverable nuclear weapons that we don't incur excessive risks by talking; and that by talking we don't materially impede the option to use military force. Implicit in the latter case is the further assumption that the military option is static -- that it remains equally viable a year from now as it is today.

Neither assumption is correct. Can we believe that if diplomacy fails we can still take military action 'in time' to prevent Iranian nuclear weapons? 'Just in time' nonproliferation assumes a level of intelligence certainty concerning Iran's nuclear program that recent history should manifestly caution us against."

'HONOR' KILLING FOR GOD

The Third World barbarians are moving to the US and transforming us down to their level. When they move here they must swear to Allah to abide by our laws and not to kill anyone! Or at least some other important thing to swear by. Even if Allah wants the kids to die for not staying at home to be beaten.

'HONOR' KILLING FOR GOD - New York Post: "A Muslim father accused of murdering his daughter in a so-called 'honor killing' told cops God would look out for him, as he confessed to the grisly strangulation, authorities said yesterday.

'God will protect me. God is watching,' Pakistani immigrant Chaudhry Rashid allegedly confessed to cops. 'I strangled my daughter.'

At a preliminary hearing yesterday, Detective Mike Christian told a judge Rashid copped to killing his daughter on July 6 with a bungee cord because she had filed divorce papers and was having an extramarital affair.

Christian said Rashid was found sitting in his driveway smoking a cigarette when cops arrested him."

India-Pakistan: Intelligence Gone Mad

It is about time that someone has stepped on the ISI. They are very valuable in controlling terrorism because they are in close contact with the terrorists!. This was not too bad when Musharraf was in power and held their reins, but now that the Liberals are in power and trying to change everything, it is rebelling against them and that means almost open civil war. Maybe that is what Pakistan needs?

A civil war in Pakistan would kill tens of thousands, but it would also weed out most of the terrorists and their supporters who have already in defacto declared war on their less violent neighbors. Something to think about. This is why the US is winning in the War on Islamic Extremism, we had a President who was willing to confront the terrorists and beat them. It is also why the Left is determined to surrender to the terrorists, because confronting the terrorists is worse than confronting the Republicans.

India-Pakistan: Intelligence Gone Mad: "Intelligence Gone Mad
August 7, 2008: Pakistan has a big problem, and it's not with the Taliban. Their intelligence agency, the ISI, has rebelled, and refused to take orders from the government. How can this be? Simple, the ISI has, over the last three decades, become the effective tool of the government in dealing with troublemakers, and keeping top politicians informed on who is doing what to who. But the ISI is part of the military, and is full of Islamic conservatives, and men who sympathize with the Taliban and al Qaeda. The ISI also has files on the misbehavior of politicians and senior military men. The free press in Pakistan loves to lap up leaks from ISI.

The recently elected government tried to bring ISI to heel, then backed off when reminded of just what kind of power this intelligence community had. But the government is caught in a worsening situation. The four years of peace negotiations with India are jeopardized by continued ISI interference. For example, the terror bombing of the India embassy in Afghanistan last month was traced back to ISI by the American CIA, and Indian intelligence. In this case, both went public with their findings, because in the past, private briefings with Pakistani leaders brought apologies, and no action. This time, there are denunciations (of the accusations), and promises to clean out the ISI. That won't be easy. The Pakistani military, including the ISI, is a wealthy organization that sees itself as separate from the rest of the country. A military caste, if you will, which is why the military has, since the country was founded in 1947, periodically denounced the corruption and ineptness of the elected politicians, and taken over the government. The generals have proved no more capable of dealing with the country's problems (mainly corruption and a distinct lack of civic virtue). The military looks after itself first, and is unwilling to let the ISI be destroyed.

While Islamic terrorists are acknowledged as a problem, the machinations of India, and its new ally America, are seen as a larger threat. Paranoia about what India is up to is a major activity in Pakistan, and has been for centuries. Before there was a Hindu India and Moslem Pakistan, there was (and still is) the Moslem minority wondering what the Hindu majority were up to. This is a big deal in Pakistan, but not so much in India (which is the regional superpower.) Moreover, Islamic terrorists are much admired by many Pakistanis, mainly because their attacks inflict damage on India, and kill Hindu soldiers (as well as Moslem, Christian and Sikh ones, a point lost on most Pakistanis). This is something the Pakistani military has been unable to do, losing every war they have fought with India (and likely to lose any future ones). Many Pakistanis feel more comfortable with the Taliban killing Afghans and NATO troops, because that's something else the Pakistani military can't do. So there's not a lot of incentive in Pakistan to actually do anything about the ISI's pro-Taliban and al Qaeda activities. Sure, stop the terrorists from attacking inside Pakistan, but otherwise, let the lads kill for Pakistani honor (a nebulous term in this case, but still accurate.)

This time around, the United States has made it clear that if the government does not get ISI under control, the Americans will become more aggressive operating in the tribal areas on the Pakistani side of the Afghan border. Pakistan has been told, in effect, that if they want to go to war with the United States, they will be hurt much more than anything the ISI can do to them. So the Pakistani government is going to try again to clean up the ISI.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will fight when the Taliban threatens the government. In the Swat valley, two weeks of fighting by pro-Taliban tribesmen have left over a hundred rebels, and several dozen security troops (soldiers and police) dead. About twenty percent of the Taliban commanders in this region have been killed, and the Islamic militants are taking a beating from the security forces (who have apparently been told to go in hard.)

The violence in the Pakistani tribal regions has long been the source of most of the terrorist deaths in the region. Pakistan wishes it would just go away, but it's been up there in the hills for thousands of years. It's a violent, primitive (less than ten percent literacy) and poor population, and now they are enthusiastic about Islamic terrorism. "

'Great Escape' veteran Eric Dowling dies at 92

I never guessed that any of these men were still alive. It is sad that they are gone. I wish I could have met him and heard his real story about the war and the Great Escape.

May the Lord accept him for an eternity of rest, because if he went to the other place he would probably escape anyway.

'Great Escape' veteran Eric Dowling dies at 92 - Yahoo! News: "Eric Dowling, who helped plan the mass wartime breakout from a German prison camp that inspired the movie 'The Great Escape,' has died at 92.

Peter Dowling said his father died at a nursing home near Bristol in southwest England on July 21, a day before his 93rd birthday. The Aabletone Nursing Home on Thursday confirmed the death.

Seventy-six Allied prisoners escaped from the Stalag Luft III prison camp on March 24, 1944, in a daring breakout. All but three were recaptured, and 50 were shot on the orders of Adolf Hitler to deter future attempts.

The escape attempt was one of the most celebrated incidents of the war, recounted in a 1963 film starring Steve McQueen and Richard Attenborough."

iPods In Combat

This is a very cool idea! I have heard of it before, but it is wonderful to see that it is becoming more common in the combat zones. I wish I could afford to get a copy of these myself so that I could more easily talk to my Middle Eastern friends.

Intelligence: iPods In Combat: "The U.S. military went into Iraq with few troops able to speak Arabic. Now they can use their iPods to do the talking for them. A new software product, VCommunicator Mobile, and a speaker than plugs into where the ear buds go, enables troops to quickly access a library of phrases. There is also a set of protective covers for the iPod and speaker, with Velcro straps so that you can attach both to your arm.

If all this sounds very soldier-friendly, that's because the product was designed with the help of troops from the 10th Mountain division, who have been using 260 of these specially equipped iPods for the last year. This cost the army $800,000, and included language modules for Iraqi Arabic (it's a distinct dialect) and Kurdish (an Indo-European language spoken in the north). There are also modules for languages spoken in Afghanistan (Dari and Pushto). Over 700 troops are using the device in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The VCommunicator Mobile software and libraries takes up four gigabytes per language, so it can be used on the smaller, and more rugged, Nano iPods. The software displays graphics, showing either the phrase in Arabic, or a video of a soldier making the appropriate hand gesture (there are a lot of those in Arabic.) There are collections of phrases for specific situations, like checkpoint, raid or patrol. You can use any accessory made for the iPod, like larger displays or megaphones.

The army has been developing translation devices like this since 2001. All previous ones needed a laptop or PDA (a device being made obsolete by more powerful cell phones). The VCommunicator Mobile approach took advantage of the fact that most troops had iPods and knew how to operate them. That saved a lot of training time. It was also discovered that many Iraqis were familiar with iPods, or had their own. They were fascinated by this use of the iPod, and this helped break the tension. While the translation is one way, but asking for "yes/no" answers, or directions (to an arms cache, a wanted man, or someone in need of medical help), the VCommunicator Mobile worked quite well.

While troops quickly pick up a basic vocabulary of phrases, the VCommunicator Mobile accelerates the process, as troops can use it to help them learn more Arabic (or Dari or Phusto). VCommunicator Mobile also comes with an editor, that runs on a laptop, enabling troops to edit their libraries, adding new phrases or reorganizing them.

The army has found that the troops can handle a lot of technology, if the stuff is actually useful. In that case, soldiers will often buy stuff with their own money. Not so much with VCommunicator Mobile, as it costs $2,000 to have an iPod loaded with just one language. The army has also provided a solar recharger for the iPods of troops spending a lot of time out in the hills of Afghanistan. "

Madhi Army to Disarm

Great news! As Grim says, however, it is to be taken with a grain of salt due to the volatile nature of the region. The signs are all looking up!

BLACKFIVE: Madhi Army to Disarm: "LT Nixon points us to a now-confirmed account: Sadr literature states that the Madhi Army henceforth 'is not allowed to use arms at all.'

The movement of JAM to a political faction is, as the movement of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front could yet be, a major milestone on the rocky road from war to peace. Sadr's movement here is coerced by our fighting forces and the success of the Iraqi government -- and yet it is nevertheless also good for the Sadrist faction. Though they lost their bid to set up a separate government within the state, by competing fairly for political authority -- and therefore by sharing in the larger economic pie, which will grow faster as peace becomes more real -- the Sadrists will benefit far beyond what they could have won by fighting.

The 'second problem' is progressing toward a solution. That doesn't mean that TIME Magazine is right, and victory is inevitable: but it is a very hopeful sign, and a wonderful thing for the good people in Iraq who have suffered so much in the recent war."

Is anyone listening?

Something... and Half of Something: Is anyone listening?: "Gilad Shalit has been in captivity for more than two years now. The media is replete with harsh descriptions regarding the conditions his captors are holding him in - a cellar or a narrow tunnel, without any daylight. I don't know what the source of these descriptions is and whether they are based on intelligence information or imagination. However, there is no doubt that we need to get Shalit back home.

The debate seemingly focuses on how many terrorists should be released for him and how much blood we may accept on their hands. Is it moral to free hundreds of terrorists when everyone knows that anywhere between a third and a half of them will attempt to kill Jews again?

In our cemeteries one can find hundreds of buried Jews who were murdered by those released from Israeli prison in these types of tainted deals. Yet the debate regarding the number of prisoners and blood on their hands diverts it from what should be its main focus: The military option."

Reaffirming (Reanimating?) Von Grunebaum’s Standard for the Study of Islam

Wonderful! Vundervar! Ochen harrasho!

Go read the rest of this research and learn how Islam and the West can mix.

Reaffirming (Reanimating?) Von Grunebaum’s Standard for the Study of Islam: "…What is truly and unqualifiedly reprehensible lies elsewhere. It is to be found in the projection of internal Western self-criticism on to the plane of comparative culture studies, in the reification of Western complexes, in the conferring of objective existence to what is little more than a stage setting for a Western cathartic monologue. Psychological and political needs, anguish kept alive by the weight of four dead centuries, pride and ambition supported by dependence on loaned weapons, they combine quaintly to sustain this deliberate illusionism sprung from history undigested and, almost typical of a faltering denial of reality, proclaimed as a new moral gospel. Transferred to the printed page this mood assumes various shapes of which perhaps the most objectionable-to those promoted to cultural donors as much as to those demoted to recipients, for it is the inadequate system of coordinates which inevitably oversimplifies historical process and works offensive injustice to both artificially constituted ‘parties’- is to be found in such Western writing as tries to buy friendship by self- debasement."

GUILTY!!

Praise the Lord this pig is not going to get a chance to kill more people.
If he is put in a US prison, can he vote for Obama? Just wondering...

The Jawa Report: GUILTY!!: "Salim Hamdan, Osama bin Laden's driver, found guilty of some charges and acquitted on other charges.

Guilty of providing material support for terrorism. Not guilty of conspiracy to commit acts of terror.

Given that he was bin Laden's driver and confidant and that the conspiracy to commit acts of terror charges revolved around Hamdan overhearing bin Laden talk about acts of terror and that he was caught transporting an RPG it's not surprising that he was acquitted.

The argument from the Left has been that Hamdan was a low-level al Qaeda member which doesn't seem like much of an argument at all. No one ever said Hamdan was a top member of al Qaeda. Isn't being a member of al Qaeda enough?

Justice served? In the good old days they would have taken him out back and shot him. We'll have to be content with life in prison, which is what Hamdan is facing."

Border patrol agent held at gunpoint

The Drug/Civil War in Mexico is getting so out of hand that we need to hurry and place combat forces on our border. Why doesn't President Bush seem to care?

Washington Times - Border patrol agent held at gunpoint: "A U.S. Border Patrol agent was held at gunpoint Sunday night by members of the Mexican military who had crossed the border into Arizona, but the soldiers returned to Mexico without incident when backup agents responded to assist.

Agents assigned to the Border Patrol station at Ajo, Ariz., said the Mexican soldiers crossed the international border in an isolated area about 100 miles southwest of Tucson and pointed rifles at the agent, who was not identified.

It was unclear what the soldiers were doing in the United States, but U.S. law enforcement authorities have long said that current and former Mexican military personnel have been hired to protect drug and migrant smugglers.

'Unfortunately, this sort of behavior by Mexican military personnel has been going on for years,' union Local 2544 of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) said on its Web page. 'They are never held accountable, and the United States government will undoubtedly brush this off as another case of 'Oh well, they didn't know they were in the United States.'

'It is fortunate that this incident didn't end in a very ugly gunfight,' said the local's posting."

Maryland Teen Allegedly Had Weapons, Map of Camp David

Not exactly a 'lone wolf' since this includes a best friend and the idiot's father. A family that kills together, stays together? In prison...

Since the kid has two last names, I think it is safe to assume he is a Liberal and was going to vote for Obama. Those fun loving Liberals are so full of Peace and Tolerance. It is no wonder they prefer Islam over Christianity.

FOXNews.com - Maryland Teen Allegedly Had Weapons, Map of Camp David - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News: "A map of President Bush's motorcade route to Camp David was found last week when police searched the home of a teenager accused of stockpiling weapons and bomb-making materials, according to prosecutors.

Federal authorities have joined police in investigating Collin Matthew McKenzie-Gude, 18, who allegedly was storing the weapons and materials just outside Washington, D.C., at the Bethesda, Md., home where he lives with his parents."

ICE Agents Rescue Smuggled Toddlers in California

If this was in San Francisco the smugglers would have been given aid and not needed to kidnap children. Except for fun. Which is also legal if these monsters had only lived a few miles further north.

People who harm or threaten to harm kids should be flogged. Until they promise to never even touch another child.

ICE Agents Rescue Smuggled Toddlers in California: Top News Stories at Officer.com: "Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agents rescued two young children who were being held hostage for ransom by a pair of immigrant smugglers, officials said.

The undercover operation took place on July 31 after the parents of the children contacted authorities in Mexico and the United States.

ICE officials said the parents had unsuccessfully attempted to enter the U.S. illegally with their children. They paid two smugglers, sisters in their mid-20s, to make a second attempt, ICE officials said. This time, the parents went in one vehicle and the children, 3-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl, went in another vehicle. Border agents caught the parents and sent them back to Mexico, but the children made it to the U.S., ICE Assistant Special Agent Dane Bowen said.

'They took the two small children in two separate vehicles. They had impostered documents for them and successfully brought them across the border,' Bowen said.

The smugglers contacted the parents and told them that they would have to pay $7,000 to get their children back, and if they didn't pay, 'there were others who would,' Bowen said.

Bowen says the smugglers are sisters, both in their mid-20's, who were living in a mobile home in San Ysidro and are also undocumented immigrants. Bowen says the smugglers also told the parents if they wanted their children to be returned it would cost them $7,000 and if they didn't they "knew someone who did.".

ICE agents contacted the sisters and an agent posed as the toddlers' aunt. She set up a meeting with the women at a Best Western Motel in Chula Vista. When the women arrived and agents saw the two children were with them, they arrested the two women.

The suspects are Mireya Delores Enriques Velazquez and Miriam Enriques Velazquez. Officials said they live in a mobile home in San Ysidro and are illegal immigrants. The two women were arraigned Monday morning. They were charged with transportation of illegal immigrants and remain in custody in federal jail. Bowen said additional charges, including kidnapping, could be added later in the case.

The children were reunited with their parents and are currently in the United States. "

24th MEU opens Garmsir Civil Military Operations Center

Thank the Lord for the Marines! They might have to spend a little more time in the mountains before they get to go home, but they are doing good things and just need a little more time to get the locals ready to take over.

Semper Fi!

24th MEU opens Garmsir Civil Military Operations Center: "Marines and the British Forces of Task Force Helmand opened a Joint Civil Military Operations Center (CMOC) yesterday in the vicinity of the British Forward Operating Base Delhi, in Garmsir District here.

On its first day the CMOC had 31 visitors and paid 15 claims.

The Marines established the CMOC; provided the initial administration, command and control to run the center; and will continue to maintain the secure environment in which the center will operate. The Marines’ focus will be battle damage reparations and coordinating with those follow-on agencies to continue the work of reconstruction and development.

Task Force Helmand will focus on building an enduring capability to support stabilization, reconstruction and development.

Already the British Forces have assigned a Stabilization Advisor to Garmsir. The Stabilization Advisor will work with the local government, military and support agencies to assist and coordinate reconstruction and development efforts as it applies to governance, law, security, and the economy. The Afghan government is also committed to Garmsir’s reconstruction and has assigned a representative from their Ministry of Reconstruction and Rural Development. Afghan locals will be hired for administration and support roles i"

Animal rights activists suspected in fire

I hate terrorists no matter who they try to kill. These thugs are disgusting and need to be found and beaten for endangering innocent people.

Animal rights activists suspected in fire - UPI.com: "Police say they are investigating a weekend firebomb attack on the home of a California scientist who had rankled animal rights activists.

Medianews reported Sunday that the predawn bombing Saturday forced the family to evacuate their Santa Cruz home via an escape ladder and was being investigated as a possible attempted homicide.

The apparent target was David Feldheim, a neuroscientist at the University of California-Santa Cruz who was on a list of researchers in what Medianews called a threatening animal-rights pamphlet left at a coffee shop last week.

Medianews said some injuries resulted from the hasty escape, and police considered the attack an attempted murder since people were in the house when the fire was started."

2/7 Marines extended in Afghanistan

Not great news for the families, or the terrorists. If my Brothers keep up the good work they will be home soon enough.

Semper Fi!

2/7 Marines extended in Afghanistan - Marine Corps News, news from Iraq - Marine Corps Times: "The decision to extend the tour of the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, in Afghanistan comes just a month after defense officials told the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit that it would stay an extra month in Afghanistan.

According to the official, the decision to hold the battalion there longer is part of an effort to capitalize on the gains the Marines have made in the training mission. The extension means that the battalion would return home in late November.

Asked about Gates’ decision, Pentagon press secretary Geoff Morrell said the secretary was responding to a request from the commanders."

How General Petraeus Saved the U.S. Economy

While I am naturally suspicious of USNews, This is an excellent analysis! Not sure what happened over there that they are printing honest, non-biased reports, but I am happy to see it.

Thank the Lord and President Bush for giving us General Petraeus!

How General Petraeus Saved the U.S. Economy - Capital Commerce (usnews.com): "With oil prices continuing to plunge—and they may have a lot further to go—I've started wondering about this "what if" scenario: Where would oil prices be today had we abandoned Iraq to civil war and al Qaeda? What if President Bush had announced on Jan. 10, 2007, that instead of surging U.S. troops under the command of General Patraeus, he was ordering their withdrawal? Imagine if Iraq had descended in complete chaos and terror and genocide. Somalia or Rwanda on the Tigris and Euphrates, I guess.

Right now, Iraq is pumping out some 2.4 million barrels of petroleum a day. (That's about what the country was producing before the war and double the level of production at its post-liberation low point.) But given tight global oil markets, what would the price of oil be—and what would the state of the U.S. economy be—with perhaps all of those 2.4 million barrels off the market? Actually, we don't have to imagine very hard at all. Hurricane Katrina took about 2.4 million barrels off the market (because of refining shutdown and a halt to foreign oil deliveries), and oil prices spiked. And then layer on top of all that a possible regional war. Saudi Arabia and Iran might well have intervened on the side of the Sunni and Shiite. Wouldn't we all be screaming about $200-a-barrel oil—or maybe twice that?"

Police Admit Collaboration in Bedouin Ambush of Jewish Hikers

Is this a democratic and fair country? I used to think so! This sounds more like some Liberal or fascist bastion where the People are set up to commit "crimes" and then arrested on the trumped up charges.

To paraphrase an historic quote: Let the People go!

Police Admit Collaboration in Bedouin Ambush of Jewish Hikers - Inside Israel - Israel News - Arutz Sheva: "A police detective admitted in court last week that police forces hid as Bedouin Arabs attacked Jewish hikers, and then jumped out to arrest the Jews who fought back.

The incident occurred last Tuesday, on the third day of a week-long "Land of Hilltops Trek" from the northern Shomron to southern Judea. As the 200 youths and adults passed by Maoz Esther (near Maaleh Michmas, between Jericho and northern Jerusalem), they were attacked by Bedouin Arabs with clubs and rocks.

Veteran Yesha (Judea and Samaria) settlement pioneer Daniella Weiss, former Mayor of Kedumim, spoke to IsraelNationalNews from the scene and described what happened:

"Everything was going very well, until we arrived in Maoz Esther. A bunch of Arabs swooped down upon us with rocks and clubs, and three of our people were injured; they have just been evacuated by ambulance. At one point, one of our escorts tried to protect one of our boys, and he shot in the air. Right then, something amazing happened:

"From behind a little hill suddenly emerged some cars and policemen wearing civilian clothes, but with police hats - and they arrested the one who shot in the air, as well as some of our other escorts who were carrying weapons!

"Apparently, the police were waiting and watching the whole time, doing nothing until our boy shot in the air." "

Cyber warfare: Examining the relationships

Good information about the cyberwar and how things need to change to help the US, and the world, adapt to it. I am not sure that all of this is possible in the current political climate, but all of it seems to make sense to me.

I will pray that our next government will actively work to provide the US and the world with more security. This President has worked towards it and lost his way in the constant slanders and attacks from the Left.

Cyber warfare: Examining the relationships: "...the concept of operations for computer network attack (CNA) needs to be broken out of the information operations (IO) hierarchy. It does not belong there. Much like the concepts of the use of armor to support troops in World War 1 was supplanted by new armor-cavalry concepts of operation, where the model changed towards infantry in support of armor, cyber operations take on new expanded roles beyond IO. CNA is but one element of cyber operations and kinetic effect through cyber operations. The highly hierarchical and brittle security models of command and control (C2) infrastructures in the military and corporate world reflect a target rich environment.

These brittle networks are reflected in the social and organizational structures, the physical and data communications, and the information dissemination and cognition models. Where defense has been studied, the offense task against these elements in societies where the asymmetric balance is against the United States, has not been truly considered. In general the third world is categorized as technologically inferior, the European and Pan Asian community as off limits, and domestic threats ignored. This would be great if everybody played their roles equally and allies didn’t spies on allies, and corporate espionage didn’t happen, and the world stage was a static environment. How much better to be prepared for cyber conflict before it happens."

Carla Bruni video

A friend sent me this video link about the very pretty Carla Bruni, the First Lady of France. Ohh, la la!! I just wanted to share the fun!

TERRORIST DEMANDS BRITISH TAXPAYERS PAY FOR HIS PORN-IN-LOO LAWSUIT

Maybe this pig will feel better if they played him a recording of women and children dying as their guts a poured on the floor after a bomb disemboweled them? It might be worth a shot! And he needs gay porn to view since it is well known that females are offensive to Muslims. You didn't know? Well, read this:

The Qur'an:

Sura (4:11) - (Inheritance) "The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females" (see also Sura (4:176)).

Sura (2:282) - (Court testimony) "And call to witness, from among your men, two witnesses. And if two men be not found then a man and two women"

Sura (2:228) - "and the men are a degree above them [women]"

Sura (5:6) - "And if ye are unclean, purify yourselves. And if ye are sick or on a journey, or one of you cometh from the closet, or ye have had contact with women, and ye find not water, then go to clean, high ground and rub your faces and your hands with some of it" Men are to rub dirt on their hands if there is no water to purify them following casual contact with a woman (such as shaking hands).

Sura (24:31) - Women are to lower their gaze around men, so they do not look them in the eye.

Sura (2:223) - "Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will..." A man has dominion over his wives' bodies as he does his land. This verse is overtly sexual. There is some dispute as to whether it is referring to the practice of anal intercourse, which it has been used historically to justify. If this is what Muhammad meant, however, then it would appear to contradict what he said in Muslim (8:3365).

Sura (4:3) - (Wife-to-husband ratio) "Marry women of your choice, Two or three or four"

Sura (53:27) - "Those who believe not in the Hereafter, name the angels with female names." Angels are sublime beings, and would therefore be male.

Sura (4:24) and Sura (33:52) - A man is permitted to take women as sex slaves outside of marriage.

From the Hadith:

Bukhari (6:301) - "[Muhammad] said, 'Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?' They replied in the affirmative. He said, 'This is the deficiency in her intelligence.'"

Bukhari (6:301) - continued - "[Muhammad said] 'Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?' The women replied in the affirmative. He said, 'This is the deficiency in her religion.'" Allah has made women deficient in the practice of their religion as well, by giving them menstrual cycles.

Bukhari (2:28) - Women comprise the majority of Hell's occupants. This is important because the only women in heaven ever mentioned by Muhammad are the virgins who serve the sexual desires of men. (A weak Hadith, Kanz al-`ummal, 22:10, even suggests that 99% of women go to Hell).

Bukhari (62:81) - "The Prophet said: "'The stipulations most entitled to be abided by are those with which you are given the right to enjoy the (women's) private parts (i.e. the stipulations of the marriage contract).'" In other words, the most important thing that a woman brings to a marriage is between her legs.

Bukhari (62:58) - A woman presents herself in marriage to Muhammad, but he does not find her attractive, so he "donates" her on the spot to another man.

Abu Dawud (2:704) - "...the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) said: When one of you prays without a sutrah, a dog, an ass, a pig, a Jew, a Magian, and a woman cut off his prayer, but it will suffice if they pass in front of him at a distance of over a stone's throw."

Ishaq 593 - "From the captives of Hunayn, Allah's Messenger gave [his son-in-law] Ali a slave girl called Baytab and he gave [future Caliph] Uthman a slave girl called Zaynab and [future Caliph] Umar another." - Even in this world, Muhammad treated women like party favors, handing out slave girls to his cronies for sex.

Ishaq 969 - "Men were to lay injunctions on women lightly, for they were prisoners of men and had no control over their persons." - This same text also justifies beating women for flirting.

TheOPINIONATOR: TERRORIST DEMANDS BRITISH TAXPAYERS PAY FOR HIS PORN-IN-LOO LAWSUIT: "Iraqi Terrorist and former leader of the fanatic Mehdi army, Ahmed Al-Fartoosi, responsible for the deaths of dozens of British soldiers is suing the British Ministry of Defence ---why?? -- because someone left pornography near a toilet that Al-Fartoosi used.

How ironic that a man who apparently had no problems with killing dozens if not more people should scream like a baby over his 'virgin' eyes looking at nude pictures is cause for a lawsuit. But then again - did anyone force open Ahmeds eyes and make him look at the porn?? Obviously not. Thus if he looked at it - he did so voluntarily. Nevertheless, the mere presence of the likely magazine is enough for this brave muslim to put his hand out to receive compensation for his 'discomfort'.

The other 'egregious' offences committed against Fartoosi for which he wants the British taxpayers to provide free legal aid so that he can in essence............sue the British taxpayers are:
#

HEARING porn videos being played on a soldier’s laptop;

#

BUMPING his arm and thigh when being put in an armoured vehicle; and

#

LOSING sleep in his cell due to noise and lights from a corridor."

Lord Nelson and Captain Cook's shiplogs question climate change theories

More information for the Religion of Global Warming to ignore. Soon it will start to overwhelm them and they will be sad little figures on the floor whimpering in pain because they lack a natural mechanism for handling Facts that do not fit their Beliefs. Of course, that is why they take massive amounts of drugs to pad them from Reality and Facts. I almost pity the poor losers.

On the other hand, this is a great discovery. It will be interesting to see what the Facts show about climate change.

Lord Nelson and Captain Cook's shiplogs question climate change theories - Telegraph: "The ships' logs of great maritime figures such as Lord Nelson and Captain Cook have cast new light on climate change by suggesting that global warming may not be an entirely man-made phenomenon.

Lord Nelson and Captain Cook's shiplogs question climate change theories
A paper by Dennis Wheeler, a geographer based at Sunderland University, recounts an increasing number of summer storms over Britain in the late 17th century

Scientists have uncovered a treasure trove of meteorological information contained in the detailed logs kept by those on board the vessels that established Britain's great seafaring traditition including those on Nelsons' Victory and Cook's Endeavour.

Every Royal Naval ship kept a detailed record of climate including air pressure, wind strength, air and sea temperature and major meteorological disturbances.

A group of academics and Met Office scientists has unearthed the records dating from the 1600s and examined more than 6,000 logs, which have provided one of the world's best sources for long-term weather data.

Their studies have raised questions about modern climate change theories. A paper by Dennis Wheeler, a geographer based at Sunderland University, recounts an increasing number of summer storms over Britain in the late 17th century.

Many scientists believe that storms are caused by global warming, but these were came during the so-called Little Ice Age that affected Europe from about 1600 to 1850.

The records also suggest that Europe saw a spell of rapid warming, similar to that experienced today, during the 1730s that must have been caused naturally.

"British archives contain more than 100,000 Royal Navy logbooks from around 1670 to 1850 alone," Mr Wheeler said. "They are a stunning resource. Global warming is a reality, but our data shows climate science is complex. It is wrong to take particular events and link them to carbon dioxide emissions.

"These records will give us a much clearer picture of what is really happening."

Why Isn’t Anyone Linking The Rise In Unemployment To The Rise In Minimum Wage?

Nothing to add to this. Just read it.

Why Isn’t Anyone Linking The Rise In Unemployment To The Rise In Minimum Wage? - Say Anything: "Why Isn’t Anyone Linking The Rise In Unemployment To The Rise In Minimum Wage?
By Rob on August 4, 2008 at 06:20 am

Neal Boortz:

Why in the world isn’t anyone connecting the increase in the jobless rate last month to the increase in the minimum wage? At the beginning of the last month the minimum wage went up by 70 cents. When employers are forced to pay people more than they are worth .. they get kicked to the curb. Trust me, I know. I was fired once because the minimum wage went up and I was the last person hired.

Good point, and we can actually go back further than just this year. Many states have minimum wages set higher than the federal minimum wage, so the hike in the federal minimum has had a different impact depending on what the state was at already. But here in North Dakota we went from $5.25/hour in 2007 to $6.55/hour now in July. That’s a hike of $1.30/hour in a little over a year.

Anyone who has ever had to budget for payroll knows that is a significant increase in expense. For a 40 hour/week employee it’s roughly $208/month in additional payroll. If you spread that out over four or five em"

FOX News Cameraman Helps Rescue Injured Marine From Insurgent Blast in Afghanistan

This is proof that Fox News is totally biased to help the military! They are even willing to help save the lives of Marines! I can't wait to see how the non-balanced Media handle this. Will Olbermann totally freak out and call this cameraman evil?

Mr Jackson, I thank you for saving my Brother. Semper Fi!

FOXNews.com - FOX News Cameraman Helps Rescue Injured Marine From Insurgent Blast in Afghanistan - International News | News of the World | Middle East News | Europe News: "A FOX News cameraman helped save the life of an injured Marine in Afghanistan — and was injured himself — when the armored Humvee convoy he was traveling in was struck by a roadside bomb Sunday night in the Helmand province, a Taliban stronghold.

Two U.S. Marines were badly injured when the improvised explosive device detonated near their convoy. Though FOX News cameraman Chris Jackson was injured in the blast, he went back to the burning vehicle to rescue one of the Marines.

'The cabin was on fire and I jumped out,' said Jackson in a report filed immediately following the attack. 'I went, grabbed the sergeant out of the shotgun seat, pulled him out.'"

Spook School?

Is this a school to train spies? I think that most corporations and Media groups would LOVE to have people with this training! This could be a lot of fun, can I get permission to attend? It might have to be a computer class, but I think that might be the point, anyway.

So, who do I have to talk to?

Spook School - News - The Stranger, Seattle's Only Newspaper: When classes at the University of Washington resume this fall, some students at the school will be under the watchful eye of a Central Intelligence Agency spook. In fact, some of them will even be learning from him.

This fall, Dr. Tim Thomas, a CIA agent specializing in "open source" data mining, will begin a two-year stint as an officer-in-residence at the UW's Institute for National Security Education and Research (INSER), which is financed by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. That office is an umbrella organization for groups such as the U.S. Marine Corps Intelligence Department, the Department of Homeland Security, and the CIA—which will provide the university with $2.5 million in grant money over the next five years.

It's not unusual for political or military organizations to recruit on campuses, but it seems strange for the UW to align itself with an agency most recently in the news for overseas kidnappings and harsh interrogation tactics such as waterboarding.

INSER focuses on so-called "open source" intelligence—gathering information from publicly available documents, newspapers, TV shows, and blogs in other countries. Under Thomas's tutelage, students will learn the fine art of data mining and intelligence gathering, and discuss U.S. foreign policy and the strategic differences between the cold war and the war on terror.

"It's the kind of expertise we didn't particularly have here," says Bob Roseth, director of the Office of News and Information at UW. [Thomas has] been vetted very thoroughly. He's not just any CIA agent."

While INSER focuses more on information retrieval and intelligence gathering than espionage, the UW has kept the program fairly quiet. INSER has been around since January 2007, but faculty members—including UW spokesman Norm Arkans—were unable to provide many details about the program. What's more, students don't appear to be aware that intelligence agencies are present on campus. When classes at the University of Washington resume this fall, some students at the school will be under the watchful eye of a Central Intelligence Agency spook. A real threat: Terrorists tampering with food

A real threat: Terrorists tampering with food : Nation & World : Abilene Reporter-News: "The deliberate contamination of the nation's food supply is a serious threat.

In January 2004 the Bush administration responded to the threat of contamination of the nation's food supply with a Homeland Security Presidential Directive, according to an April report from Trust For America's Health titled 'Fixing Food Safety: Protecting America's Food Supply From Farm-to-Fork.'

The directive calls for a coordinated national approach to countering threats to the food supply. The directive tasked the U.S. Department of Homeland Security with leading national food defense efforts while working in coordination with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Department Health and Human Services and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Despite increased responsibility and concern, the Food and Drug Administration has not received additional funding to support food-related anti-terrorism activities, while the USDA has received an additional $150 million, the TFAH report said."

IDF Soldiers Risked Lives To Rescue Terrorist Clan

Why the heck are Israelis taking time off from fighting the terrorists to SAVE the terrorists? This is definitely a political move to make some of the Gazans like the Israelis, or at least hate them less.

I doubt it will work! This is a stunt.

IDF Soldiers Risked Lives To Rescue Terrorist Clan - Defense/Middle East - Israel News - Arutz Sheva: "IDF soldiers risked their lives Saturday in order to save the Fatah-aligned Hilles terrorist clan from the Hamas army in Gaza. The rescue effort was performed under Hamas fire said Colonel Ron Asherov, head of the northern brigade in the Gaza Belt region.

'Our soldiers could hear the bullets flying past their ears as they evacuated the Palestinians to our side,' said Col. Asherov.

Lieutenant-Colonel (res.) Yoel Tzur termed the rescue effort 'idiotic' and charged that the government ordered it as another measure to help Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas.

Abbas, after initially having asked Israel to accept the terrorists, reversed his stand and refused political asylum to all but about a dozen.

'We show humanitarian sensitivity, but how would we react if five of our soldiers had been killed,' Tzur asked rhetorically.' He added, 'We are talking about terrorists who attack us with Kassam rockets and hold kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit.'"

Al Qaeda confirms death of top bomb maker Masri

The Jawa Report: Al Qaeda confirms death of top bomb maker Masri: "Confirmed... Abu Khabab al-Masri, a chemical weapons expert DEAD!

Via AFP

Abu Khabab al-Masri was among a group of 'heroes' who joined 'the caravans of martyrs,' said a statement signed by Mustafa Abu al-Yazid, Al-Qaeda's general commander in Afghanistan.

And we are left with a bit of a mystery...six people died in the strike that killed Masri...

Pakistani security officials had told AFP that Abu Khabab al-Masri's 18-year-old son, another Egyptian, two Saudis and a Pakistani were also among the six people killed when missiles hit a house attached to a village mosque.

That is SIX.....so who are these two gentlemen who also were listed in the AQ statement as killed in action...

It named other slain militants as 'the mujahed sheikh and educator Abu Mohammad Ibrahim bin Abi al-Faraj al-Masri,' Abdul Wahhab al-Masri and Abu Islam al-Masri."
