Controversial Therapy Aims to 'Cure' Terrorists

FOXNews.com - Controversial Therapy Aims to 'Cure' Terrorists - International News | News of the World | Middle East News | Europe News: "A controversial therapy program has been initiated to 'cure' extremist Muslim inmates of their political beliefs, the U.K.'s Sunday Mail reported.

Psychologists in the prison service will use techniques similar to those used to “de-program” members of religious cults, the Mail reported. The experimental treatments are being developed by a special extremism unit, set up by the Ministry of Justice.

The therapy is part of a strategy to combat Islamic extremism in Britain's jails where Muslim prisoners are serving time for terrorist offenses, the paper reported. The Ministry fears that if they are left alone, their violent, jihadist interpretation of Islam will spread.

The therapy includes 'cognitive behavior' methods, based on the notion that it is possible to change people’s behavior by altering their perceptions and attitudes, the Mail reported.

In England's Whitemoor Prison, 39 out of 150 Muslim inmates have converted since early last year, but officers feel that some changed their faith because they were subject to bullying, the Mail reported."

A Vote For Obama is a Vote For Civility

A Vote For Obama is a Vote For Civility

A Special Guest Commentary for Undecided Voters
by Those Two Smirking Hipster Assholes in 'Sarah Palin is a C---' t shirts

Hi undecided voters! Yes, we know what you're probably thinking: "hey, it's those two smirking hipster assholes in the 'Sarah Palin Is a C---' t shirts." We also realize that you probably find our brand of narcissistic street theater loathsome and tedious. In fact, we're pretty sure that after eight years of putting up with our shit, you're just about fed up with the screeching tantrums, and inane Bush-is-Hitler art installations, and incessant firehose of profane hate-vomit. Who wouldn't? No rational human being could be blamed for wanting us to just shut the fuck up, finish our bottled water, and go away. Luckily, there's an easy way you can make that happen: vote for Barack Obama.

Think about it. With Barack Obama in office, assholes like us will fade into a distant unpleasant memory. Don't get us wrong, we'll still be hanging around, probably as junior staffers in some federal arts agency. But you have our word on it -- we'll be practically invisible. No more C-word t shirts, no more intersection blockades, no more vandalism until the next election cycle. Nosirree, we'll be timid and well-behaved and quiet as church mice, working away on grant proposals. We think you will also be pleased to know that under Obama, negative news stories and the steady flow of shitty anti-American war movies will virtually disappear overnight.

We know what you're thinking -- "that sounds awesome, but what about the angry right wingers? Won't they suddenly start storming congressional hearings and vandalizing military recruiting stations? Won't they start producing Obama assassination fantasy plays at the local college?" Don't worry, as members of the incoming Administration, we will identify any potential troublemakers and prosecute them to the full extent of President Obama's new civility laws. And with the re-establishment of the Fairness Doctrine, you won't have to worry about accidentally tuning into right wing hate radio.

But it's a democracy, so by all means feel free to vote for McCain. But don't forget what we're capable of. Do you really think we'll give it a rest? Do you really think we've pegged our ugly-o-meter? Hey, friend-o, you ain't seen nothin' yet. With the kind of free time we've got, you'd be totally amazed at the kind of crap we can come up with. If you think the Bush stuff was disturbing, wait 'til you see our four year Palin Plan. It won't let up, because frankly, we enjoy this sort of thing. Dude, we get freakin' college credit for it. And it won't just be us -- it'll be the media, the blogs, Hollywood, that asshole at work who's always emailing you Bush monkey photoshops.

Do you really want that on your conscience? The choice is all up to you. Four more relentless 120-decibel years of us pelting Bristol and Trig with bags of feces -- or the sweet, intoxicating tranquility that awaits under an Obama Administration. We're sure you'll agree that a couple thou in new taxes is a small price for that kind of peace of mind. So remember when you go to the polls this November: a vote for Obama is a vote for civility.

And by the way, sorry for being such assholes. As the computer guys say: it's not a bug, it's a feature.

Security concerns a major issue for Latin America

The Communists are destabilizing the region and demanding that someone do something about it? This sounds backwards. It is time to finish off those Marxist scum once and for all.

If things are so great in Communist countries, why do they always want to blame their lack of interaction with other countries on their surplus of poverty? And then they invade those other countries! Why do they have to make up provocations like this? To invade and destabilize others?

http://www.miamiherald.com/americas_conference/story/712044.html

Violent crime and lack of security mechanisms have emerged as major concerns in Latin America and the Caribbean, regional leaders at the Americas Conference said Friday.

''Violent crimes going from kidnappings to executions have become front-page news in all the papers and broadcasts in the region,'' said Samuel Lewis Navarro, Panama's vice president and minister of foreign affairs. ``Today, in Panama, every poll made shows that security is among the first causes of concern of the population.''

At the session, ''Security in Latin America and the Caribbean,'' panelists argued that a strong police force is paramount for development, and that larger countries need to help smaller ones in their efforts to battle violent crime and criminal networks.

Haiti came up as an example of a country rife with insecurity, but that other nations suffered from more violent crime.

''Is Haiti the next Afghanistan?,'' asked Gerardo Le Chevallier, a United Nations official in Haiti on the panel. ``I believe that it is a little exaggerated -- Haiti is one of the safer countries in the Caribbean, as far as violent deaths and kidnapping.''

One panelist said organized crime can best be tackled when more developed countries pitch in to help smaller ones.

''It's not only an act of solidarity,'' said Le Chevallier, director of political affairs and planning in the United Nations, ``but an act of moral responsibility.''

Back and gathering my thoughts

I have been swamped and travelling a lot, so here is my attempt to get caught up on some of what I have missed. Normally, I just click on an article and post it, but I want to get a lot of stuff in and try something new. I am even looking at transfering this blog to its own site. Anyone want to help?

http://www.washtimes.com/news/2008/oct/06/the-roots-of-the-mortgage-scandal/
How did the United States get to the stage where politicians decided it was necessary to scare the taxpayers into forking over $700 billion to purchase assets the private sector wouldn't touch? So far neither Democrats nor Republicans have shown interest in examining a major factor in the mortgage lending mess - federal government policies which, taken together with pressure from left-wing activist groups, eroded credit requirements to make mortgages available to people who could not possibly pay them back, including some who were illegally in the United States.

"I don't understand why that would not be a viable option," he said.

Urbina is scheduled to hold a hearing Tuesday that will examine whether he has the power to order the release of at least five of the Uighurs. Their attorneys have filed court papers asking Urbina to also consider releasing 12 other Uighurs who remain in custody.

Sing for Change Obama (Updated)

A bunch of school kids singing about the One? I have seen this before! In North Korea, China, Soviet Union, ... I think you get the point.

The line between Liberals and Communists is getting thinner and thinner as the Liberals blatantly steal from the ideas of the great Communist leaders. When will the political indoctrination camps begin?

ABC's Gibson grilled Palin hard, but it may backfire

Gov. Palin may have her faults, but it seems the biggest fault is that she is not full of hate for the common citizens in this wonderful country. She does not dispize people who work to make life easier for the wealthy. She loves America and what it stands for.

America, love it or leave it.

ABC's Gibson grilled Palin hard, but it may backfire - UPI.com: "There were no surprises, no knockout zingers, but also no bloopers Thursday night in Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's first TV interview since becoming the Republican vice presidential nominee.

Charles Gibson of ABC News was out for blood and inherently applied a double-standard compared with the kid gloves George Stephanopoulos used on Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois on Sunday night.

Gibson was out to embarrass Palin and expose her presumed ignorance from the word go. By contrast, when Obama referred to his 'Muslim faith' on Sunday and did not correct himself, Stephanopoulos rushed in at once to help him and emphasize that the senator had really meant to say his Christian faith.

By contrast, Gibson tried to embarrass Palin by referring to her Christian faith in asking people to pray for U.S. soldiers in Iraq. Palin countered by pointing out she was following the precedent set by Abraham Lincoln."

Latin America Heats Up: Is There a Policy?

A reason for the lack of policy for Latin America is that the US has been preoccupied with appeasing the Leftists who are taking over down there. We do not want to upset all their citizens who have fled up here for safety. Even though confronting their Communist governments would allow the refugees to return home and help to make things better. Time to send in the Marines. Kick some butt! If they do not want to work with us on be stable, then beat them until they are willing to concede the issue.

Counterterrorism Blog: Latin America Heats Up: Is There a Policy?: "The news that both Bolivia and Venezuela, whose presidents are staunch allies and friends, have chosen to expel the respective U.S. ambassadors is the most visible evidence of the frayed relations the United States now has with much of Latin America.

As my colleague Andrew Cochran wrote the United States then immediately took the step of designating the three most visible Venezuelan officials whose ties to the FARC were clearly established.

What is amazing is that, until this blow-up, U.S. officials in different departments of the government, have been minimizing the well-documented alliance, as well as other issues discussed below, that have made Latin America a far different place than it was five years ago.

Unfortunately, with the exception of Colombia policy, there has been virtually no policy toward Latin America, and the festering issues there have been left to fester."

Blair sister-in-law: Gaza world’s largest concentration camp

Gaza is a concentration camp where everyone is starving? Meanwhile, the British celebrity is shopping in shops full of food and buying enough food to either feed a Gazan family for a week, or herself for a day.

I am glad that the Israelis won't let her out. She needs to understand daily life in Gaza. When she has to either convert or get beaten to death, she will learn to love Gaza much more. Fool.

Blair sister-in-law: Gaza world’s largest concentration camp - Israel News, Ynetnews: "“The Palestinians’ suffering is physical, mental and emotional,' she went on, 'there is not a family here in which someone is not in desperate need of work, shelter or food. This is a humanitarian crisis on the scale of Darfur."

Google Surrenders to Sen.Lieberman, Changes YouTube to Bar Terrorist Incitement

While this sounds like a great thing, I am wondering if it will actually happen.

Counterterrorism Blog: Google Surrenders to Sen.Lieberman, Changes YouTube to Bar Terrorist Incitement: "Google Surrenders to Sen.Lieberman, Changes YouTube to Bar Terrorist Incitement
By Andrew Cochran

On June 3, I posted about Google's hypocrisy in taking down a YouTube clip in Thailand because it "offended" the King, while continuing to enable terrorist organizations to post videos inciting violence. In May, Sen. Joseph Lieberman had urged Google to remove Internet videos produced by terrorist organizations, such as Al-Qaeda, from YouTube subsidiary. "Islamist terrorist organizations use YouTube to disseminate their propaganda, enlist followers, and provide weapons training. YouTube also, unwittingly, permits Islamist terrorist groups to maintain an active, pervasive, and amplified voice, despite military setbacks or successful operations by the law enforcement and intelligence communities." At that point, Google would not tighten its guidelines, citing free speech concerns. I commented that Google was risking litigation in the event of an attack by terrorists with a YouTube presence.

Today, Sen. Lieberman released a victorious press release, announcing Google's decision to strengthen the standards for videos on YouTube to bar those that incite violence. According to his release, the revised guidelines bar "predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, intimidation, invading privacy, revealing other people's personal information, and inciting others to commit violent acts..."

Congratulations to Sen. Lieberman for his perseverance and to Google for changing its policies."

Intelligence: Who Doesn't Dare, Loses

The Liberals are so afraid of the CIA that it is almost comical. They have emasculated the Agency and made it almost completely unable to provide any real intelligence. while a picture is worth a thousand words, it can also lead to very misleading words. To know what is really going on, one needs to listen to what is being said. Taking pictures from space is a good way to prove things, but it is not good for much else until there is something to prove. That requires a person who has listened to the subjects.

Intelligence: Who Doesn't Dare, Loses: "The CIA lost its soul, it's heart, and most of its guts, in the late 1970s. Lots of brains are left, with big budgets to buy all manner of neat technology. But the bosses live fear of grandstanding politicians and headline hungry journalists. While the British, the Israelis, and most other nations, have managed to capture and retain the ability to do street level intelligence, the CIA has not. It now serves mainly to draw fire, while other organizations get the job done."

Dems trash U.S. flags at DNC convention

It was bad enough when the Media posted the pictures of Sen Biden keeping his flag laying on the ground next to his chair, but by not properly disposing of the flags they did have they are insulting those of us who have fought for that flag! I would spit on these pigs, but I do not want to upset the Secret Service people who have to work hard to keep from vomiting while protecting these jerks.

Dems trash U.S. flags at DNC convention: "A Denver Post blog reports that a vendor at Denver's Invesco Field discovered the discarded flags following Barack Obama's nomination speech at the mile-high stadium last week.

Democratic organizers have claimed that the flags were not meant to be thrown in the trash, but according to a Fox News report, McCain supporters claim the vendor found the bagged flags in and around garbage bins following the Democratic National Convention.

A group of Boy Scouts brought 84 garbage bags full of the discarded flags to the site of a Republican rally in Colorado Springs today, where veterans distributed them throughout the assembled crowd. McCain supporters waved the recycled flags and chanted 'U.S.A.' as they welcomed Republican candidate John McCain and his running mate, Sarah Palin."

Requisite Ramadan Observance for Non-Muslim East London Councillors

The Left goes out of their way to force the people of the West to accommodate the Caliphate. What will they do once the Muslims beat the West and take over?

Requisite Ramadan Observance for Non-Muslim East London Councillors: "Requisite Ramadan Observance for Non-Muslim East London Councillors
September 2nd, 2008 by Andrew Bostom

From Stephen Pollard September 1, 2008 in The Times of London:

Head of Democratic Services at Tower Hamlets Council in East London, John [any relationship to Anglican Archbishop Rowan?] Williams last week e-mailed each of the borough’s 51 councillors with these instructions, according to Pollard:

For the duration of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month, they are, he [Williams] told them—every one of them, Muslim, Catholic, Jew or atheist—to behave during council meetings as strict Muslims. They are not to eat or drink; they are to break for Muslim prayers; they are to do as they are ordered by the Muslim religion. Strict Muslims do not eat or drink between sunrise or sunset during Ramadan. Because sunset will fall during the meetings, there will be 45-minute adjournments so that councillors can break their fast and pray. And to make things easier, there will only be seven council meetings during the month.

Pollard concludes with these apt observations:

This is, let me remind you, happening not on Karachi borough council but in Tower Hamlets in London. As far as I am aware, the United Kingdom has not yet been absorbed into the Caliphate. The last time I checked, we allow citizens to practise all religions and none. If I wish to stuff my face with chocolate during the fasting hours of Ramadan, I will. And if you wish to go out for a slap-up lunch on Yom Kippur, you can feel free.

Yet Mr Williams—he’s the man with the “democratic services” label, a title so Orwellian that his existence simply had to involve promoting the opposite of democracy and service—appears to have concluded that Islamic practices must take precedence over any other practices. Instead of individual councillors being allowed to decide for themselves how they wish to behave during Ramadan, he is deciding for them.

It should come as no surprise that it is not the borough’s Muslim councillors who are demanding that their non-Muslim colleagues obey Islam. As almost always, it is a caricature liberal-left non-Muslim idiot who thinks he is being racially aware who does the real harm to race relations. Respect for religious practice can only be given voluntarily. Mr Williams’s prescription leads only to anger.

Former President Carter: McCain ‘Milking’ POW Experience

Why do former Democrat Presidents seem to both be such complete morons? Neither was a winner, but they both continuously sink to new lows.

Mr Carter, you are a scary guy. I thought the President who replaced you was the senile one. You, sir, seem to make me want to vomit every time you make the news. You should lock yourself in a closet and stay out of public.

Former President Carter: McCain ‘Milking’ POW Experience - America’s Election HQ: "Former President Jimmy Carter said Thursday that John McCain is “milking every possible drop of advantage” from his time as a prisoner of war in Vietnam, USA Today reported Thursday.

Carter focused on McCain’s interview earlier this month with author and pastor Rick Warren at his parish, the Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif. McCain used every question, whether it was about religion, domestic or foreign affairs, to talk about his five-and-a-half years as a POW, Carter claimed.

“John McCain was able to weave in his experience in a Vietnam prison camp, no matter what the question was,” Carter, a 7-year Naval officer, told the paper. “It’s much better than talking about how he’s changed his total character between being a senator, a kind of a maverick at the time, and his acquiescence in the last few months with every kind of lobbyist pressure that the right wing Republicans have presented to him.”

In the interview that came before Obama’s acceptance speech at the Democratic convention in Denver, Carter also talked about Obama’s challenges facing the lingering effects of racism in America, the ability of the Clintons to bring their supporters over to Obama. He also decried Sen. Joe Lieberman’s decision to “abandon” the Democrats by speaking at the Republican National Convention next week."

Obama campaign confronts WGN radio

This is a very interesting article. Fair and balanced, covers both sides, yet is about Obama. Interesting.

Obama and his supporters are right to block this investigation into his past. The only thing that we should know about Obama is that He is for Hope and Change and is Black. His past, friends, family, speeches, and writings are all off limits. Who cares what He has done anyway? He is the One and we will all be blessed by His presence as our Leader. The Future is all that matters! Hope and Change!

I should get a job at the HuffPo for writing that. However, if I had to think that way daily, I would probably vomit myself to death.

Obama campaign confronts WGN radio: The Swamp: "Sen. Barack Obama's campaign organized its supporters Wednesday night to confront Tribune-owned WGN-AM in Chicago for having a critic of the Illinois Democrat on its air. ( (Listen to the interview.)

"WGN radio is giving right-wing hatchet man Stanley Kurtz a forum to air his baseless, fear-mongering terrorist smears," Obama's campaign wrote in an e-mail to supporters. "He's currently scheduled to spend a solid two-hour block from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. pushing lies, distortions, and manipulations about Barack and University of Illinois professor William Ayers."

Kurtz, a conservative writer, recently wrote an article for the National Review that looked at Obama's ties to Ayers, a former 1960s radical who later emerged as a school reform advocate in Chicago.

The magazine had been blocked in its initial attempts to obtain records from the University of Illinois at Chicago regarding a school reform initiative called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, which Obama chaired and Ayers co-founded.

Obama critics were quick to suggest that political clout could be involved in seeking to protect Obama from embarrassment. The school later reserved its position and made the records available Tuesday.

On Wednesday evening, Obama's campaign urged supporters to call the radio station to complain.

"Tell WGN that by providing Kurtz with airtime, they are legitimizing baseless attacks from a smear-merchant and lowering the standards of political discourse," the note said.

"It is absolutely unacceptable that WGN would give a slimy character assassin like Kurtz time for his divisive, destructive ranting on our public airwaves," the note continued. "At the very least, they should offer sane, honest rebuttal to every one of Kurtz's lies."

Zack Christenson, executive producer of "Extension 720 with Milt Rosenburg," said the response was strong.

"I would say this is the biggest response we've ever got from a campaign or a candidate," he said. "This is really unprecedented with the show, the way that people are flooding the calls and our email boxes."

Christenson said the Obama campaign was asked to have someone appear on the show and declined the request."

Dear Senator Biden

Nothing to add to this. Go read the rest of it if you wish.

Something... and Half of Something: Dear Senator Biden: "Today, Senator Biden, the falseness of your statements have been proven. Eight of the Marines charged for the so called “massacre” have already been exonerated. There is but one case still pending and that case is likely to be dismissed as well. There was no massacre and if there was no massacre, there was no coverup, at any level.

Senator Biden, there can be no doubt you made a serious mistake in your accusations against our Marines and you made a serious mistake in your accusations against Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, and you made a serious mistake in your accusations against the President of the United States, George W. Bush. Mistakes you should be held accountable for.

According to your own statement, your own "system of accountability," the gentlemanly thing to do would be for you, Senator Biden, you, to stand up and to acknowledge your serious mistake, for you to apologize to each of these brave and honorable men for your false accusations and misdeeds, for you to apologize for the injuries you inflicted upon them based on your rash and thoughtless words spoken without knowledge, that were based on rumor, innuendo and ignorance of the facts, the accusations you made without the benefit of a proper investigation and the gathering of information necessary to make intelligent commentary on such a sensitive subject.

Never mind the dangers inherent in your promotion of the propaganda of the enemy at a time of war and your undermining of our Government and the Military in favor of the enemy, which equals aiding and abetting the enemy, as your words were before the world and they put every soldier overseas in grave danger of suffering vengence for acts that did not in fact occur but which you claimed did occur.

Do the the right thing Senator Biden. The world is watching. The world is watching you.

Stand up Senator Biden. Be a man.

Acknowledge your serious mistake. Apologize to those you have falsely accused. "

Blockheads vs. the blockade

I see that Israel decided to ignore my advice about locking these fools up in Sderot, but they did the smart thing, which was to let the ship through since it was already cleared and certified by Cypriot authorities as being weapon free.

See what I miss when I go out of town for a few days over the weekend? Thanks for finding all this SoccerDad.

Soccer Dad: Blockheads vs. the blockade: "Never mind that Israel allows large quantities of goods into Gaza and the Palestinians themselves smuggle even more in via tunnels from Egypt. But a bunch of anti-Israel activists decided to make some PR and "run" Israel's naval blockade of Gaza.

Two wooden boats carrying dozens of human rights activists reached the Gaza Strip on Saturday afternoon after the Israeli navy decided not to hinder the challenge to Israel's blockade of the Palestinian enclave. Thousands of Palestinians turned out to welcome the group, which brought token humanitarian aid, including hearing aids and balloons.

The Post's headline proclaims that the boats "broke" the blockade, but Israel let them pass unhindered.

(In some of the early publicity - it wasn't news, it was unvarnished PR - it was noted that a Holocaust survivor was going to be on the boat. The Post's PR release doesn't mention her among the celebrities on the boat. Did she change her mind or was the Post just unaware of her presence.)

Meryl points out that since the ship of fools didn't meet any resistance they charged that Israel jammed their instruments to prevent them from reaching Gaza.

However Backspin points out that the activists may not have such an easy time leaving Gaza as they did arriving.

And despite the crowds cheering their arrival, left unreported by many organizations was

once it turned out these boats contain too little food and mostly activists...some people left the beach disappointed."

Free History Project demands that History be kept caged

So, History needs to be Freed from its use by the Right? Only the Leftists who want to revise it are allowed to use it? Interesting! Keep up the good work hippies!

As an amateur historian, I love to find little historical tidbits to contemplate and to regale others with. Some people think that I should be sent to Gitmo as a professional torturer and just tell these tidbits to the inmates. Others think that might be too cruel. I am not sure if I should be insulted or not. Help keep history safe. Keep it away from censors and hippies.

Lucianne.com News Forum: "The Berkeley-based nonprofit Free History Project has sent a cease-and-desist letter to a right-wing political group which used footage from one of the project’s documentaries in a new ad that tries to tie Barack Obama to 1960s-era radical William Ayers. The letter demands that all broadcasts of the American Issues Project ad, now running in Michigan and Ohio, be halted as a violation of copyright law."

Classes Start in Texas School District Where Teachers Can Carry Guns

THe people who dislike this plan are afraid that the teachers are the ones who are going to go crazy and start shooting up the classrooms? Or they just hate guns and put their kids in private schools behind armed guards so that the peasants can't be seen.

This school district has gone to extremes to ensure the safety of its students. I am even willing to bet that none of the teachers are carrying a weapon because the standard is so high for being able to carry one. Not that the gun haters care. The only people who are allowed to carry guns on campus, in their twisted world, are highly visible so that snipers can see them, or criminal - because only criminals should have guns. Or something like that.

I am willing to bet that the local kids will be more than happy NOT to test the system by shooting wildly in class. Wait! These are teenagers and are, by definition, stupid enough to test the system. I hope that the kid who does dies a quick and painful death. A lonely death.

FOXNews.com - Classes Start in Texas School District Where Teachers Can Carry Guns - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News: "Thweatt said the board took extra precautions, such as requiring employees to use bullets that will minimize the risk of ricochet, similar to those used by air marshals on planes.

'I can lead them from a fire, tornado and toxic spill; we have plans in place for that. I cannot lead them from an active shooter,' Thweatt said. 'There are people who are going to think this is extreme, but it's easy to defend.'

Judy Priz, who has a third-grade daughter, said that 'everyone I've talked to thinks it's great.' She said she trusts the teachers with her child's life.

'Look how long it takes the police or anybody else to get here,' she told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram for a story in its Monday online edition. 'If someone wants to come here and harm someone, at least we would have sort of defense.'

Gov. Rick Perry has said he supports the policy because 'there's a lot of incidents where that would have saved a number of lives.'

The Brady Center has spoken out against the plan, saying it may not comply with Texas law, which bans firearms at schools unless carriers have given written permission. If the school board authorizes an employee to carry a gun, then that person must be a peace offi"

Protest boats seek an end to Gaza siege

If these idiots want to help the poor innocent people of Gaza, then arrest them for attempting to break the siege and jail them in Sderot. If they are killed by their good friends in Gaza, that is just tough. After a few months of bombardment they might wonder why only food and medical supplies are allowed to travel from Israel into Gaza. If they STILL don't understand, then they are even bigger fools than they seem in this.

I am sure that these fools are nice enough individuals, but they must have IQs in the lowest quarter of humanity. Gullible, yet useful, fools. Stalin would have loved them.

AKI - Adnkronos international Middle East: Protest boats seek an end to Gaza siege: "Two boats carrying more than 40 international human rights activists left the Mediterranean island of Cyprus on Friday for the Gaza Strip in a bid to break Israel's blockade in the Palestinian Territories.

The activists, members of the Free Gaza Movement, fear they may be stopped and arrested by Israeli Defense Forces as they seek to draw attention to what they call the "illegality" of Israel's actions.

"Our goal is to break the blockade that Israel has imposed on the Gazan people," Huweida Arraf from the movement told Adnkronos International (AKI) in a telephone interview from one of the boats.

"What Israel does is to justify the siege and blockade under a security pretext. Under this security pretext, they are starving and humiliating an entire people."

The crew consists of people from 16 different countries and includes a Greek parliamentarian,Tasos Kourakis, Lauren Booth, sister-in-law of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, and an 81-year old Catholic nun.

The protesters plan to deliver 5,000 balloons for children, as well as hearing aids to a Palestinian charity.

...

"Israel is an occupying power, and as such they are keeping 1.5 million civilians under siege, effectively instituting collective punishment which is illegal under international law," said Arraf, a lawyer who also runs the International Solidarity Movement.

"Israel is breaking international law. It (the siege) is also immoral and illegal. This is a man-made humanitarian catastrophe. Everybody in this boat is appalled that the internationally community has not spoken against this."

The two boats, the 21-metre long 'SS Free Gaza' and an 18-metre boat called 'Liberty' left the southern port of Larnaca in Cyprus early on Friday morning."
