Kassam Attack Claims Second Life in Sderot

Things are really tough in Sderot. I do not wish this kind of constant barrage upon anyone, especially the women and children and other civilians who live in this poor town. It used to be a thriving place. Now it is full of survivors who are almost ignored by their own government. It is past time to retake Gaza!

Israel News - Kassam Attack Claims Second Life in Sderot | Infolive.tv: "On Sunday morning school pupils from the town were transported by buses to study in facilities outside of the Kassam rocket range. Many of the town's residents returned over the weekend after spending a few days of brief respite at recreation centers and hotels provided by the Defense Ministry. A few hundred families attended the camp set up by Russian millionaire Arcady Gaydemak for Sderot residents in Tel Aviv.

Many of the town's residents remain outraged over the fact that there are not enough shelters or security rooms to protect them from the constant rocket attacks. Others demand that for every rocket that falls, the army should demolish Palestinian homes in Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza. Some residents declare that the army should launch a widespread ground offensive similar to Operation Defense Shield launche dby the army in the West Bank in 2002.

According to the army, since May 15, over 220 Kassam rockets have been fired at Israel. In the past ten days, Israel has launched numerous air strikes over Gaza targeting Hamas command positions and weapons warehouses."
