Well, even if someone was to create a film that was strictly to the Hadith and Koran, this would still be offensive. They are the Religion of Peace and showing the slaughter of the kafir might harm that image, which is automatically an insult and all insults are avenged with slaughter of kafirs.
I do think it would be nice to celebrate Islamic holidays with movies about Mohammad, just as Christians celebrate Christian holidays with movies about Christ.
Good luck to these film makers! I hope they get good body armor to protect them from the adherents of the Religion of Peace and Tolerance.
Jihad Watch: Film 'Worse than Fitna' abandoned: filmmaker says Dutch government can't protect him: "'Film 'Worse than Fitna' Abandoned over Fatwa Fear,' from NISNews (thanks to Praxis):
THE HAGUE, 02/04/08 - Ehsan Jami is not to release his animation film The Life of Mohammed. After consultations with his advisors, Jami is abandoning the plan to show his film, which was to be released on 20 April.
'Minister Hirsch Ballin (Justice) has stated that he fears the film will drive a wedge through our society. That was never my intention', said Jami. He added however that he does not believe the Dutch government is capable of protecting him against death threats.
One of Jami's advisors is philosopher and columnist Afshin Ellian. Like Jami, Ellian was born in Iran. Last week, Ellian stated that the young Jami (22) perhaps failed to recognise the consequences of the release of his animation film for his safety."
