I finally found the full '100 years' comment in context. It is what I thought, but not as strong as I hoped. Still, it is not as nutty as the Left try to make it sound.

McCain is right. IF it takes 100 years, then we should still try. The fools who say that we should get out now are just ignoring reality. If we leave now, then the fundamentalists win and will come after us here. They have said so! Listening to the fools will only get us in trouble in the long run. Or dead, in the long run. Keep fighting until we win. It is better than the alternative.
