Obama And His Positions Du Jour

The Wolf links a few articles that discuss the lies and flip-flops of the Obamessiah. I have read about most of these issues but seeing them all collected together is amazing. I highly recommend this!

Wolf Howling: Obama And His Positions Du Jour: "Obama's spotless history as a hard left socialist is being whitewashed overnight by Obama and a complicit press corps. His flip flops are of such number and magnitude as to make John Kerry look like a gross amateur at the art. Obama changes positions with the fluidity of water based on the day's political expediencies, and then claims that his position du jour has always been his position. It creates a cognitive dissonance reverberating at such high a pitch as to make it seemingly beyond the capacity of all but canines to hear. That may explain why it is outside the auditory range of the MSM. Charles Krauthammer addressed this issue yesterday, concluding that Obama is so unscrupulous and so disengenuous as to, in comparison, make the Clintons seem paragons of veracity and intellectual honesty. Victor Davis Hanson and the editorial board of the NY Post also weigh in."

Who is this guy? UK Terror Suspect on the Run

The English used to be the leaders in fighting terrorism. What happened? Can anyone explain this to me?

The Jawa is right in his sarcasm. I can't get anymore sarcastic than this. This is a joke! The terrorist's name should be posted everywhere so that the public can help hunt this known danger. Find him and bring him to justice! Don't let him hide in his sisters burka!

The Jawa Report: Who is this guy? UK Terror Suspect on the Run: "Yesterday a man charged with multiple terror related offenses in Britain skipped bail. That's right, in the UK they let you out on bail if you're a suspected terrorist.

The man has only identified as a 23 (or 24, depending on which paper you read) year old who had charged with 'conspiracy to cause explosions and conspiracy to murder'. His bail conditions were such that he was under virtual house arrest, with one noted exception: he was allowed out of the house daily to say prayers at the local mosque.

Man suspected of being a terrorist is allowed to go to mosque. Brilliant!"

Israeli Troops Kill Palestinian Teen

Interesting article. First is the headline, which sounds like those eevil Joos are randomly killing kids. This impression is dispelled in the opening paragraph, which is nice, but does not seem like it was really meant.

More interesting is the final part of the story, which talks about how the Pallys are continuing to fire rockets from Gaza despite the 'truce'. Why is this story the secondary part? The fact that the Pallys think that treaties can be ignored is almost ignored by the Media! What a horrible slant that the attempted killing of villagers is almost ignored, while a kid throwing bombs is memorialized because he was killed in the act. Disgusting.

Israeli Troops Kill Palestinian Teen - NYTimes.com: "Israeli soldiers shot dead a West Bank teenager who threw Molotov cocktails at an army patrol, the army and Palestinian officials said Saturday.

The military said Israeli soldiers entered the village of Beit Umar, near Hebron, late Friday in an operation to stop fire bomb attacks on Israeli vehicles on a nearby highway. The troops shot a militant who threw two molotov cocktails at them, a military spokesman said.

Palestinians said the shots killed Mohammed Alameh, 17, one of a group of youths who fought the soldiers.

There was no indication that Alameh was a member of a militant group and no immediate sign of retaliation from Gaza Saturday morning.

The West Bank is not covered by a nine-day old truce between Israel and Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip. But on Tuesday, Islamic Jihad in Gaza fired three rockets into Israel in response to troops in the West Bank city of Nablus killing two Palestinians, one of them an Islamic Jihad commander.

Following Tuesday's rocket attacks, Israel closed its crossings into Gaza, bringing food shipments to a halt, and they have remained shut since, although Israel has said it will not let a humanitarian crisis develop in the territory of 1.4 million Palestinians.

The truce worked out in months of Egyptian mediation began June 19 and is supposed to last initially for six months. "

Northwest Pakistan descends into chaos

All the Lefties cheered when Pakistan elected a new government that was not going to work with the US and was not going to 'support terrorism'. I wonder how they feel about the Taliban taking over villages and slaughtering people? Where are the Lefties marching and celebrating now that the predictions of the Right are coming true?

Go read the rest of the article to get a good feel for what is happening now that the 'moderates' have taken control in Pakistan. Killings, torture, rape and pillage, sounds like Peace to me.

Northwest Pakistan descends into chaos - The Long War Journal: "The Pakistani Taliban continue military operations in the tribal agencies and the settled regions of the Northwest Frontier Province despite ongoing negotiations to sign a peace agreement with the government. Forces loyal to Baitullah Mehsud overran a town previously run by pro-government tribal forces, and beheaded 22 Pakistanis. In Peshawar, the provincial capital, police and government officials have said the Taliban is close to taking control of the city.

Baitullah Mehsud strikes in South Waziristan

As the Pakistani government continues negotiations with Baitullah Mehsud, the South Waziristan warlord and leader of the Pakistani Taliban launched an attack on rival tribal leaders in the town of Jandola. On Sunday, forces loyal to Baitullah took over the town during heavy fighting after attacking the home of the leader of a local peace committee in the region. The fighting resulted in seven members of the pro-government Bhittani tribe and two Taliban fighters killed.

The Taliban then kidnapped 30 members of the Bhittani tribe. Twenty-two were executed in a brutal fashion. "Some of the dead were shot and some had their throats slit," a district official told AFP. "The men's hands were tied behind their backs and the corpses left in a drain by a roadside," AFP reported. The tribesmen have also been described as "pro-Karzai," referring to Afghanistan's president."

A windy day for Blackwater

You only seem to get bad news about the Private Security companies, so, I am giving some good news. I hope that this will make a few people decide that maybe they aren't so bad after all.

I wish I could join up, but old and crippled Marines just aren't in much demand with all the young studs with fresh skills available. Oh well. At least I can help them get the word out.

"The state of North Carolina has long been known for farming and Blackwater Worldwide is introducing a new crop, wind. Well, Blackwater isn’t exactly farming wind but the ten-year-old firm known for its training and contracting will be generating electricity by means of harnessing wind energy through a wind turbine. A ribbon-cutting ceremony at Blackwater’s headquarters in Moyock, N.C. is expected by March 1, 2008.

Ted Vogel, alternative energy officer for Blackwater’s renewable energy program states, “This will be the largest grid-connected wind turbine in the state and the first for a commercial, light industrial location. “This will be the largest wind turbine by a factor of 20, with a rated capacity of 50 kilowatts. The nearest turbine at the Coquina Beach Bathhouse, a parks and recreation area, has a generation capacity of only 2.5 kilowatts. The turbine chosen for Blackwater’s needs is manufactured by Entegrity Wind Systems of Canada.

Blackwater was granted a special use permit at a hearing by Camden county commissioners on November 19th. This project has drawn many letters of support and advice from local conservation and renewable energy leaders including the N.C. Coastal Wind Working Group, North Carolina Audubon Society, the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association and the North Carolina Solar Center. Blackwater has promoted and encouraged appropriate legislation on wind turbines that benefit the local business economy as well as residential applications of wind energy technologies on the North Carolina Coast.

The North Carolina Solar Center at N.C. State University has expressed interest in working with Blackwater to gather data regarding power output. “They have programs on anything having to do with renewable energy. We have discussed setting up a web site that will permit tracking and real time data sampling on wind energy projects in North Carolina.” "

A 'BlackYear' for Palestinian Human Rights

When the Pallys start to admit that they prefer the Israelis to their own people, things are certainly looking up! Amazing what a little time being abused by your friends can do for one's outlook on life. Maybe the terror groups can start to kill each other off, but they are too thirsty for Jewish blood to do that for long.

islamo-nazism: A 'BlackYear' for Palestinian Human Rights: "Palestinian Mazen Shahin says the torture he suffered in a month spent as a prisoner of the Islamist Hamas in the Gaza Strip was worse than the several years he spent in Israeli jails.

He says he will never forget his time in Mashtal prison: 'It was a lot worse than being in jail in Israel,' he told AFP at his modest home in Khan Yunis refugee camp in the south of the Palestinian territory.

The Israelis arrested him four times and he spent 'several years' behind bars inside the Jewish state, said Shahin, a member of the Fatah movement of Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas."

Jail for rapes while on bail man

This freak is getting only nine years for multiple rapes? Either the judge has little pity for the victims and potential victims or the judge wants to avoid being called an Islamophobe. From his comments in the rest of the story, I am going to say that he is afraid of being called names if he gives a harsh punishment to a Muslim.

All rapists should be killed within a year of conviction. Especially child rapists, despite what the Liberals think.

BBC NEWS | UK | Scotland | North East/N Isles | Jail for rapes while on bail man: "A man who drugged and raped two women after being granted bail, and intended to rape two more, has been jailed for nine years.

Abdalla Ali Hemed attacked and raped one of his victims less than 24 hours after being granted bail in Aberdeen.

Hemed, 44, a Somalian refugee, was found guilty of the attacks, which happened between 2004 and 2006.

Judge Lord Bracadale told him, at the High Court in Glasgow, that he posed a danger to women.

He had been allowed to stay in Scotland on indefinite leave after fleeing from the military regime in Somalia.

However, after arriving in Aberdeen, he carried out the sexual attacks over three years before he was caught."

Police Report: Mexican Army Members Busted for Home Invasion and Murder

Not sure what to add to this. What the F... are MEXICAN soldiers doing in raids in the US????

Mr Bush! It is WAY past time to seal the freaking border! Turn over a one mile stretch to the Marines and Rangers for live fire training. There will be no further issues for years after they are done cleaning it up.

KFYI - "The Valley's Talk Station": "Police reports show that three men arrested in a Phoenix home invasion and homicide Monday may have been active members of the Mexican Army.

While on the J.D. Hayworth show, Phoenix Law Enforcement Association President Mark Spencer said that the men involved were hired by drug cartels to perform home invasions and assassinations.

The Monday morning incident at 8329 W. Cypress St. resulted in the death of the homeowner. Between 50 and 100 rounds were fired at the house.

Spencer said a police officer told him that one of the men captured said they were completely prepared to ambush Phoenix police, but ran out of ammunition.

He added that all were all dressed in military tactical gear and were armed with AR-15 assault rifles. Three other men involved in the invasion escaped.

Good News: Traitor Caught Tipping off Terror Suspect Still on D.C. Police Payroll!

Let's play the Extremely Political Correct Game! See which violent minority you can bend over in front of today!

The Jawa Report: Good News: Traitor Caught Tipping off Terror Suspect Still on D.C. Police Payroll!: "I get that maybe the D.C. police have a pretty lengthy investigation and review process before formally disciplining an officer, and that during that process the officer should still be on the payroll, but what is it they're actually investigating in this instance? Muhammad Weiss Rasool admitted that he tipped off the subject of a federal terror investigation. He was convicted in a federal court. What gives?

Paul Sperry, the author of the article, suspects that Rasool's connection with CAIR is the asnwer. In this theory the D.C. police are so worried about appearing to be picking on Muslims that they are reluctant to take action against an admitted traitor.

Islamophobia, in their view, is the greater threat to life, limb, and liberty than terrorism. In the nation's capital. Where, you know, terrorists have no interest whatsoever of attacking."

Court bans death penalty for child rape

Go out of the country for a few days and things like this make me wonder what kind of sick idiots have taken over my country.

So, stealing information for another country, which is rarely punished, is considered worse than raping a child? Stupidity like this makes me wonder if Liberals might make rape legal someday, just because sex is fun.

Court bans death penalty for child rape - Yahoo! News: "The court's 5-4 decision struck down a Louisiana law that allows capital punishment for people convicted of raping children under 12. It spares the only people in the U.S. under sentence of death for that crime — two Louisiana men convicted of raping girls 5 and 8.

The ruling also invalidates laws on the books in five other states that allowed executions for child rape that does not result in the death of the victim.

However devastating the crime to children, Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in his majority opinion, 'the death penalty is not a proportional punishment for the rape of a child.' His four liberal colleagues joined him, while the four more conservative justices dissented."

Israel-Hamas truce begins amid clashes

Kill them before the truce kicks in and they are off limits while they plot for a huge offensive. Just as Mohammad did:

Muhammad was the first to violate the Treaty of Hudaibiya. Even the Qur’an acknowledges this, which means any knowledgeable Muslim must as well.

The terms of the treaty specified that any Muslim who flees Mecca for Medina (where Muhammad resided) must be returned. But when a group of Muslims did exactly that a few weeks after the treaty signing, Muhammad did not return all of them, but kept the women. A verse from Allah arrived conveniently to justify his decision (60:10).

Today’s Muslims have only one answer for this: Allah gave Muhammad His personal permission to break the treaty. It is an obvious double standard, but one that they are comfortable with, since Muslims believe their religion makes them superior. (It remains unclear as to why Allah had Muhammad sign on to terms that were intended to be violated).

AKI - Adnkronos international Middle East: Israel-Hamas truce begins amid clashes: "Israeli armed forces clashed against Palestinian militants hours before Israel and the Islamist movement Hamas began a truce on Thursday.

Six Palestinian militants belonging to the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, the al-Quds Brigades were injured in a series of airstrikes by Israeli forces before the ceasefire came into effect on Thursday, reported Palestinian news agency Maan.

Islamic Jihad militants said they shelled an Israeli kibbutz in response, while a Qassam rocket landed on a house in the town of Sderot in southern Israel causing minor damage.

Under the ceasefire agreement, Gaza's blockade will be eased to allow basic supplies into the Strip and talks are expected to intensify regarding the release of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, kidnapped in 2006.

The truce, or 'tahadiyeh' is expected to last for six months and calls for a halt to all military offensive operations by Israel and a pledge by the Islamist movement Hamas to stop attacks against Israel by Palestinian militants."

Defending freedom to abuse

I wonder if we can move the freaks in NAMBLA in to Afghanistan? Sounds like they would love it! Plus, it would get them away from OUR kids! Just don't let them return...

Sick freaks...

Defending freedom to abuse: "Man-boy homosexuality has flourished anew in the aftermath of Taliban zero-tolerance laws, albeit a selectively punished offence in that era. Warlords again parade cities with teenage boys known as an 'ashna' by their side.

The strict social separation and severe consequences for premarital sex with women have given rise to the cultural wrinkle of men used for sexual recreation and women reserved for reproduction.

But that hardly makes it right when Afghan boys are police rape victims.

And it's a wrong that Canadian soldiers should be encouraged to report so that Afghan officers being trained in law enforcement can be pressured to stop it themselves."

Operatives targeted by al-Qaida official

Eating their own. What a lovely sight to behold!

Of course, the poor jerks who got into this and realized they were over their heads will have to stay in or get killed by their best friends. What a life.

Operatives targeted by al-Qaida official: "Militant operatives who surrendered to Algerian authorities as part of an amnesty deal should be killed, an al-Qaida official said.

The Med Basin News Line said Friday that, according to sources, Abdul Malek Droukdel, chief of the al-Qaida Organization in the Islamic Maghreb, is concerned about information the al-Qaida operatives could give Algerian authorities.

The sources told Med Basin that Droukdel has put together a team of assassins whose mission is to kill the operatives.

Algerian authorities have detected threats to some former senior AQIM members, one of the sources said.

The amnesty deal was offered by Algerian President Abdul Aziz Bouteflika, and scores of alleged al-Qaida operatives took advantage of the temporary agreement.

The unidentified sources said Algerian officials have already received information about militant plots from some of the operatives.

Droukdel has demanded that all remaining AQIM members renew their oaths of loyalty to the organization, the sources told the news group."

Wolf Howling: Interesting Posts From Around The Web - 19 June 2008

I love reading the Wolf, because he has no real life and can find all the good posts. Today's links are excellent, and I do not say that just because he linked to me! I love reading him anyway.

Thanks for the link!

Iraq and Afghanistan Wars

From MK down under, during the past week, Iraq experienced the lowest number of security incidents since March 2004. And back at home, Blonde Sagacity notes that charges against the Marines over Haditha continue to crumble. Hillbilly White Trash posts on the plans of the Haditha Marines to sue Jack Murtha for defamation, noting "Murtha [smeared the Haditha Marines] not because he actually believed in the Marine's guilt but because he saw some short term political advantage in it."

Betsy’s Page notes the death of Bench Mark rage. "[N]ow that they have almost all been met, the Democrats somehow neglect to mention what before they had sworn were the crucial sign to see if the surge had succeeded."

Subadei ponders the conundrum posed by the Taliban’s safe havens in Pakistan and what that means for NATO, the U.S., Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Glittering Eye provides an update on Afghanistan.

Political Insecurity is still having difficulty believing that he found praise for George Bush’s conduct of the war on terror in the opinion section of the Guardian – a British paper known on occasion to make the NYT editorial board appear as neocons.

Iraq: War Shifting To Afghanistan

When the terrorists are fleeing, it allows a few personal grudges to be explored. Which is happening in Iraq. I just wish that the Left and Media could notice good news like this. It is such a waste of time to read the newspaper.

Iraq: War Shifting To Afghanistan: "In Iraq, al Qaeda has been reduced to one collection of cells in the north, around the city of Mosul. Here, some of the al Qaeda leaders are carrying out a revenge campaign, and have killed three Sunni Arab tribal leaders who used to support the terrorists, but now support the government. As usual, this has had an impact quite the opposite of what al Qaeda was hoping for. The Sunni Arab tribes are becoming more energetic, and brutal, in hunting down the terrorists, and the tribesmen who still support them. This is turning into a war of extermination, which encourages many of the al Qaeda operatives to head for Pakistan, where al Qaeda has established a base for a last stand. But some of the Iraqi terrorists cannot, or will not, go. So they will die, and try to kill a lot of Iraqis in the process.

The government has successfully used an ancient tactic for winning sectarian wars. That is, Kurdish and Shia police and army units were used against Sunni areas, while the recent Battle of Basra was spearheaded by the 1st Infantry Division, which is largely recruited from Sunni Arab western Iraq (Anbar province). Not only were the Sunnis happy to kill Shia, but the Shia militias had a historical fear of armed Sunnis that did not do much for their morale. Once the militia units were broken, Shia Arab police units came in to make peace and settle things down. The Shia militia units belonging to the Mahdi Army are being destroyed this way."

Afghan, NATO Troops Clear Kandahar Villages of Taliban

When the Taliban took those remote villages, the Left and Media ate it up! I wonder if this will receive half the coverage as the original story?

Good job, lads!

FOXNews.com - Afghan, NATO Troops Clear Kandahar Villages of Taliban - International News | News of the World | Middle East News | Europe News: "A swift offensive by Afghan and NATO forces has driven Taliban militants from a strategic group of villages outside southern Afghanistan's largest city and killed 56 insurgents, Afghan officials said Thursday.

Gen. Mohammad Zahir Azimi, spokesman for the Defense Ministry, said the Afghan National Army was now in control of the villages, but that the militants had planted hundreds of land mines in the area before fleeing.

NATO officials have not confirmed that Arghandab was militant-free, or Azimi's report that 56 militants were killed. But NATO spokesman Mark Laity did say the alliance launched a 'limited number of successful airstrikes' overnight.

'We don't have a definitive assessment, though casualties were inflicted,' Laity said. 'The main point is that it has helped ensure the continuing success of the mission.'"

U.N.'s Arbour opposes taboos in human rights body

Just talking about sharia is now being banned by the UN? As much as I hate to agree with a UN type, well, a modern one, Ms Arbour is correct that the UN is supposed to protect freedoms, not caving in to barbarians from the Middle Ages.

U.N.'s Arbour opposes taboos in human rights body | International | Reuters
"Arbour, who steps down this month after 4 years the post, did not refer specifically to the incident in the Council on Monday when Egypt, backed by Pakistan and Iran, said referring to sharia there meant "crucifying" Islamic states."

But she pointed to treatment of homosexuals in many countries -- prosecuted as criminals in a number of Islamic and some other states -- as "fundamental" to debate on sexual discrimination around the world.

"It is difficult for me to accept that a Council that is the guardian of legality, prevents the presentation of serious analysis or discussion on questions of the evolution of the concept of non-discrimination," Arbour declared.

Monday's row centered on a scheduled 3-minute speech on behalf of two non-governmental organizations (NGOs), the International Humanist and Ethical Union (IHEU) and the Association for World Education (AWE), calling on Muslim countries to take firm action against "honor killings" and female genital mutilation.

INTERRUPTED

The NGOs' speaker was repeatedly interrupted by Egypt, whose delegate, as seen on a U.N. webcast, accused him of trying to link these practices with Islam, and said discussion of sharia in the Council "will not happen" -- although the European Union and Canada argued that the address should go ahead.

Islam, the Egyptian delegate declared, "will not be crucified in this Council"."

Muslim arrested at airport with handgun in carry-on luggage

What a moron. I wish these Muslims would stop trying to create mass murder.

Jihad Watch: Canada: Muslim arrested at airport with handgun in carry-on luggage: "'Gun, ammunition confiscated from air passenger,' from CBC News, June 17 (thanks to APA):

A man was arrested at the Calgary International Airport Tuesday after a handgun was detected in his carry-on luggage.

Security officers in a pre-boarding screening area at concourse D noticed the gun inside the luggage and alerted police just after noon Tuesday.

Police arrested the man without incident and seized an unloaded, small calibre handgun and several rounds of ammunition from the bag, said Calgary police. They believe the man was flying to Saskatoon.

Ziad Mohamad Jeha, 30, of Calgary, has been charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, possession of a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon without a permit and possession of a restricted weapon with readily accessible ammunition.

Calgary police said the suspect is known to them."

The Foreign Policy of Pooh

I am not sure whether to laugh or cry. I thought that Mr Danzig was safely in the dustbin of history. Where is Obama dredging up this load of forgotten morons from?

The Foreign Policy of Pooh: "What was that word from 2000 again? Oh yes...gravitas.

Richard Danzig, who served as Navy Secretary under President Clinton and is tipped to become National Security Adviser in an Obama White House, told a major foreign policy conference in Washington that the future of US strategy in the war on terrorism should follow a lesson from the pages of Winnie the Pooh, which can be shortened to: if it is causing you too much pain, try something else.

Mr Danzig told the Centre for New American Security: Winnie the Pooh seems to me to be a fundamental text on national security.

Danzig went on to say the animals in the book 'Big Red Barn' were a metaphor for world citizens and that we should, like the characters in the book, 'all live together in the big red barn and play all day in the grass and in the hay.'

Next week, 'Foreign Affairs' will publish an essay by Danzig entitled 'Everyone Poops: We're More Alike than We Are Different so Can't We Just All Get Along?'"

Rachel Corrie's Dreams

Anyone this distorted is either mentally deranged, on drugs, or a Liberal. Is there an option I am missing? I just pity people who are so full of misplaced hate that they can't see the truth when it is surrounding them. Ms Corrie needed serious mental help.

Solomonia: Rachel Corrie's Dreams: "Here's an excellent review of Rachel Corrie's recently published journals, by Roberta P. Seid at Commentary. A snip:

...Finally, what is most curious about Corrie’s Journals is that hard as she tried to impose the ISM narrative on what she saw, her reports constantly contradicted this narrative, though she didn’t recognize the contradictions.

She wrote that decades of occupation had oppressed Palestinians, yet Gazans kept saying that their difficult situation was due to the Intifada and to Israel’s subsequent counterterrorism measures, not to a decades-old occupation. One Gazan said, “There was a peaceful time in the late seventies and early eighties…things were better before Sharon”—that is, before Sharon became Prime Minister in 2001. (253) Another told her: “Before—no tanks, no bulldozers, no gunshots. Quiet….No noise. After Intifada, daily. Gunshots daily.”"
